Question - Stopping attack in mid fight. How?

Still trying to wrap my head around all this. So bear with me if it has been posted before, I could not find it. There are certain fights I need to get the mob done to a certain percentage and stop attacking. How can I issues a command to my other group members to also stop their attack. Currently I am running a 3 man team bst/bard/dru, with bst as main and running in manual. So stopping the beast is just a matter of targeting myself or another mob, however the bard will continue to attack until mob is dead. What I am needing is some slash command I can issue from my bst to my bard to stop attacking the mob.

Thank you both very much for the suggestions. I will try them out this eve and see which one works the best for me.

I did try both, however it didn't give me the effect I was actually looking for. As my bard is also my mezzer, I really don't want to stop the macro, which both seems to do. And soon dead tank merc. hehe I still want the bard to mez if needed. I even tried /bcga //melee reset. However, after a sec or two the bard is back on the mob. Going to continue to work on it but welcome any other suggestions.

Well, a small band of us, have got together and doing our own progression style run through the expansions. 6 of us total but boxing enough to fill 3 groups. We were doing the rogue epic fight where you have to kill the skellies at the same time and it got me to thinking about council run in PoEarth since we are in PoP expansion now. Was also running through some of the Oceangreen tasks and there was one that you had to fight a mob to 50% and then you can talk to him. I may be overthinking things, but just thought it would be nice to be able to turn off attack only if there were no other mobs around in camp.

Target yourself (assuming you’re controlling the MA)
/bct toonname //switchnow

or (for all grp ppl)
/bcg //switchnow

To re-engage you need to target another mob and issue another /bcg //switchnow command.

I use the /switchnow as stated above works well. If I’m trying to dps down completely I just target myself and give the command. Works well with a lot of the missions like Kael, GD and even the Talendar RoS so all my toons don’t go chasing after him.

Sorry I know this is an old post but why target yourself? I am just now getting to the point I need to start doing missions so I wish to understand. Why would you not target the mob to switch too and do the /bcg //swithcnow cutting out the initial step? Does that not work, will be testing soon.

One of the reasons you would target yourself is because you do not actually want to engage any other mobs at that moment. If you target another mob, that’s where the focus goes. The OP wasn’t looking to switch mobs but instead end melee but continue mez and such. What you suggested should work just fine if you needed to engage something else.

That makes sense but I'm about to start trying to do ToV missions. I think my question was more like the last mob on the GD mission when he splits. Working your way down the list my thought was why not target the next and then the //switchnow. I suppose it is a different scenario.

for GD and Kael I just use the SK and MAYBE one other toon to dps stuff down. While you can use the /switchnow command and get cute with MQ2 pauses and stuff, I’ve found that to be unreliable once you start mixing macs with mq2melee with CWTN’s class plugins. It’s easier to just run one or two toons.
