Still stuck on Jan. 11 MQ2 Compile

Hi guys...

I was hoping to avoid having to do this but after spending about 4 hours smashing my keyboard I've come to an impasse.

Prior to the patch this week I have never had this issue manifest but now I am getting this, paraphrased: 'date and time not what mq expected Jan 11 2018' 'Injection cannot be completed'.

Okay so I know people have gotten this for things like not updating .NET, not patching, not actually patching MQ2... but none of that is the case here.

I did a full MQ2 reinstall - it shows the files as updated files from Jan 17 and if I try and update again it says I'm up to date. If I hover over the MQ icon in my tray it still says "Jan 11 2018 (Live)"... even after getting the updated message I'm patched to Jan 17. I went as far as doing the old fashioned manual install. No dice.

I ensured EQ was patched and even did a repair-install for it in case something went wrong there.

I really have no clue what in the world has happened because a week, week and 1/2 ago I was fine and never had any issues previously.

I searched and couldn't find an exact scenario like this so I'm reaching out. Help please?!

dbg release a new exe earlier, to fix some issues,a hotfix, they didnt have to take down the servers, so you can either find the old eq.exe or wait till a new mq2 vanilla has been released.

there was a ninja patch today. mq2 not working till update is released. as of now, its not able to update..

they didnt bring servers down so people that were logged in or did a eq patch bypass can still play... if you patched eq. you cant use mq2 till new update

Are you sure its that simple? I didn't realize they pushed a whole new client since hotfixes usually don't mess with it. If that is the reason then I feel stupid but less agitated. Ty friend!

Edit: My lesson learned - never underestimate the devastation of a hotfix (especially if it's for fixing bag purchases in the marketplace).
