Discussion - Starting out Macroquest journey

Hello guys,

As like many people i have come back from a 20 year hiatus from the game, been playing on a TLP server the last few months, truebox is getting removed so i am looking into making a couple of box to make AA grinding a bit easier.

Not 100% sure how this works, if you sign up for a month can you download all the software and continue to use it? or do you need a subscription every month to continue to use it.

Is there any free parts of the software i can try first to see if i like it or not?

The red cent post is how you can *earn* points, and then exchange for stuff (including site level 2).

MQ is not supported on Truebox servers. If/When a server transitions into "relaxed truebox" or complete removal of truebox restrictions, MQ support would be added at *sometime* afterwards.

Other tools such as MySEQ and IonBC are available for truebox servers.

How would you know when it is enabled? i would not want to buy level 2 only to try log on and find out it doesn't work.

As the other posts and the sticky says - it is unlikely the MQ devs are going to announce when it is added. It will just start working.

Obv that is less than ideal, but that is how it is.

The RG MQ build supports the servers that MQ supports.

I very very very strongly doubt it will work tomorrow.

And trying to circumvent that or "yo some dude pmed me" is just foolish.

Do i just try on the TLP server after patch and it will tell me its enabled or not? i wouldn't want to get banned. or will i see in the redlauncher when its enabled

I made this mistake twice. First when Mischief was announced I went here looking to try it out only to find it doesn't work on Truebox X.X
Then I re-subbed again recently just to find out it's at the mercy of MQ2 when they enable it on relaxed Truebox servers.

Though, this time after browsing all the forums, I think I'm better prepared for when it does release. If you're looking for something other than automation to use while you wait for MQ2 to work, you should be able to use ISBoxer ($15 for 3 months though) when it's relaxed tomorrow. It will let you setup multiple EQ instances and use broadcasting to all of them.

Then I would not use it on any server.
It is still cheating whatever server you are using it on and can get you banned if cought using it. Just because its enabled does not mean its OK with DGB to use it.

You can also try it on Test server as well. The plugins from CWTN/SIC are free there. You can /testcopy any existing toons you have as well. Great way to give things a shot!

As for a TLP server, I would not "try" anything personally. I would play on live/test or at least wait for some sort of announcement when it's available before taking additional risk.
