I used this on an alt for 1 night maybe, and didn't have much success. Tried log into today and had instant ban, GM says was for 3rd party this is only thing I can guess, because I rarely was using the account the last month.

You knew after the first and second time it was gonna get you banned...your use of mq2 without a brain is the type of thing that brings petitions on mqers...and having said that, i find it entertaining that you lost your toons. In fact, when you get the 5th or 6th account banned...please PM me with the details and title it "Joke of the Day".

banned = perma, suspension = temp until they review you for banning or until a set time is up (week, month, etc.). and i wasn't busted for this or for the traitors mission mac, or for ooze mission mac, but i've stopped both of those after getting about 300 aa's for my two rogues for more dps for gk'ing

i got banned. (wasn't a main account, have 7 accounts now after bann #1)
just cuase its going smooth now, doesnt mean your not on the "hit list"

did you ever die and wonder how you died? (i.e. a mac that you know there was no way of dieing from?)

did you ever get a random tell from someone asking something stupid/ not pertaining to you?
you ever run a macro you found here that says " DO NOT USE THIS MACRO ANYMORE" or a macro that more then 3 people have been banned for using?
well if you answered no to any of the above, then you MAY not be on the list. you MAY BE untouchable.
if any of the above you answered yes to (and by the way, you can only lie to yerself) then be careful. stop afk macroing.
like i said, i thought the same. i had a few of the above happen to me and ignored it. thought maybe they were just random acts that could happen to anyone. well the more i think about it, the more the signs were clear.
just a warning. not trying to change anything or anyone. not saying using any of the stuff you find on this board or any other is gonna get ya caught.
just be careful, be smart and if ya find something to good to be true, don't share it expect with people you trust.

SoE does not lurk these boards, that I can assure you of. People wanting to snitch on the macros currently being used to buy back their accounts is a completely different subject. Think about that for a minute before your paranoia sets in.

I didn't think anything of it when it happened, but now when i have had time think more, the more I suspect something......
I have never been banned, suspended, nothing. I am extremely careful on what I do and where. I have never had the balls to run the afk warp macros.
Something strange happened to me lately though. I was in a zone kiting wth the druid(non macro'd),but I had 2 bots running assist macro's to dot, loot, etc. Both bots did their thing, and always returned to a designated spot. I get a tell saying "hey! what's up??" I respond with "not much, who am I talking to?" This person then proceeds to start asking me to pl him a few levels. I respond by telling him no, and to go earn it like everyone else. Just as the conversation was ending, I did a /who all on the name and this person did not show up anywhere.
Now it may be my paranioa, but seems odd that a person would do that then /quit. That is of course if he even did that.
Now, before you say it, I know pl'ing is not against the EULA. I am wondering though, if this might be a way that some of the GM's are trying to find out if and who is using MQ2.
Not trying to start rumors, just curious now about what happened.
Oh, and I have done /who all on this person everyday since and the name has never shown again.

Thats why I always log everything. I have never had a death during an AFK macro that was unexplained.

No, but just in case I have an audio trigger for "Tells you" and I turn my volume up so I can hear incoming tells from anywhere in the house. (I rarely leave home while macroing)
AdvTaskWarp, NODROP transfers, MQ2GM, and MQ2ZoneCrash come to mind. Used them all. I warp through PoK/Bazaar, and generally pull some stupid crap.
That said, if you know it's a stupid risk, and you take it anyway (like me) then you deserve to get banned. (kind of like i do)
I only have one account, and if it gets banned, sucks for me. I don't live in a delusion that I am immune to banning, I just feel like the amount of caution I show (very little when compared to others who did get nailed) would have resulted in the ban stick by now. Its just a thought, has nothing to do with my cockyness.
As for GM's trolling the boards, it's just paranoia. It's not GM's that MQer's need to be wary of, it's other players with too much sand in their vaginas.

As far as GM s trolling the boards. How hard would it be for a GM to set up a RedGuide paid acct and read what is on these boards? I am thinking that it is certainly not out of the realm of possibility. There is certainly no way for the admins of RedGuides website to know exactly who is sending them money--people can have multiple email and paypal accts, and who knows the real life names of GMs? Just something to think about.

Check your EQ folder and look for the credits.txt for each expansion. Generally, it tells you who you want to stay the hell away from and who you can complain to when your account gets banned if you put a few tiny, but brain-power consuming, inklings of thought to it. I.E., Dean Graf = dgraf....maybe at SoE...Who works for Sony...that is a dot com business....yeah.SikkPuppy said:
