Question - Splash heals

Hi everyone. I hope this is in the right place.

I currently box a varied group of toons, the core being Bard,Shammy and Mage. Bard for pulls and aDPS, Shammy for heals and buffs, and Mage for dps and pet tank. The rest of the group varies depending on the flavor of the day. One thing I have noticed so far is my .ini file does not take full advantage of splash heals for the group. I would like to write in a condition if any group member falls below X, a splash heal is activated. currently the .ini file concentrates completely on the MA.

So, how does one accomplish this?

Does a simple line like this
"Heals="splashheal"|80 work for the group, or only for self? do I need to set a cond="groupmember" hps < X cast splashheal.

Thanks for the help, I am making minor changes to the .ini files I found in the library, but this is a step beyond with indroducing new code that I have not seen before.

I'm assuming this is a kiss question, so I'll move it to the kiss support section - if it is MuleAssist let me k ow and I'll move it there

Do we have a guide on posting? I have questions, but many times I hesitate to post because one of the mods dinged me for posting in the wrong section. It's for a /kissassist macro, yes.

well, give yourself an opportunity to look at the forum sections.

Resources have their own discussion threads - so if you had an mq2coolplugin question - it has a discussion thread, you'd post there.

for kissassist - it has a "kissassist support" section - so asking for help with kissassist, you'd post there.

rgmercs has a "please complete this survey with your problem" in their support section, so if you had a question/issue you'd post there for rgmercs

cwtn plugins - forum section for cwtn plugin stuff in general, or individual plugin discussions for discussions on those individual plugins.

each of the "major" macros that are supported here have their own section - kissassist, muleassist, rgmercs, modbot, xgen.

when simultaneous it isn't posted in the section that would identify what is needed help with AND not stated what specifically needs help with, it is impossible to give the support and help needed without guessing - which can lead to folks feeling more confused when they started because they're not getting the answers to the questions that they need.

Hiya Alleykat,

KA automatically detects single vs group heals and uses them appropriately afaik. This means you should be able to put the group heal spell you would like in your heals section as such;

HealsX=spellname|% to heal

There is no need for the group tag afaik as KA uses the average of your group health in addition to a single member. So if you have a group of 6 and the toons health are 80/70/60/90/95/50 then the average would be 74%. If you set the group heal at |75, it should cast the group over the single. (someone please shout if this is incorrect!)

Here is a link to the KA commands (heal section) in case you do not have it. I find it very helpful!

Thanks for the quick reply. I had read the info from the link you send (thank you) and re-read it. Accoding to the information I read, a simple command like the one in your post should work. I have several heals linked to the MA (HealsX=heal|70|MA. I am going to remove all the MA tags and see if that helps at all.

The specific issue I am running into is this. Many times I am double or triple pulling weaker mobs, and since Bards have squat for Aggro control, the BL tends to take hits. which is ok if the Shammy gets off his butt and casts a heal now and again.. ;)

You should really try CWTN for the shaman, it would make playing the shaman so much easier in your group. I run a shaman and bard combo in my 6 box and CWTN for the shaman and rgmercs for the bard. Has been a good combo and no issues with the shaman healing as needed.

Funny, bards are usually the ones to die. They have perfected it =) Only second to rangers. Kidding aside, if you remove the MA, that single heal spell will apply to all group members instead of only the MA which sounds like it will resolve your issue based upon your concern of the BL taking hits. But definitely add those group spells and set the heal % you desire.

As for mq2shaman (cwtn plugins) that Rob and Epic mentioned, they are not wrong. If the $20 is available for your hobby and you would rather not adjust ini's or drill down on very specific actions that KA allows you to do, they are well worth the $20.

Bards do not get Ranga Gate. and ironically if the Bard was the one to die I wouldnt mind as much. He and the Mage are the only two who have reached 120 and cant lose the level due to premium upgrade. No, the rest of the group seems to be targeted by DB, and the Bard is the one who survives. Specifically, lately the game has gone out of its way to try to kill my shammy at every turn.

I have started to watch videos on CWTN plug ins. Chat seems to have a knack for programming to be sure. I dont think I will ever reach Sic's level of tinkering, but I do like the flexibility of KA to make the toon do what I specifically want it to do. Learning the syntax is the key. You dont get that with Chat's plug-ins. That being said, the whole *point* of the plug in is that you dont have to. someone else has done the work for you. push a button and the toon goes to work. But limited flexibility.

For the cost of 20, I feel it would be a worthwhile investment for other toons that are highly complicated, like a Chanter. Knowing when to mez, how to mez, or a Wizzie or Drood hitting the EVAC btton to prevent a wipe.

Ever thougt about changing tactic and try to keep running all the shamans group-duration-heals and single heal only when needed.
If you get this set up right, there is almost no need for single target heals anymore.

Grouphot with “|ambush” at dps-section on incoming.
Group-meleeproc with hot at 99% at dps-section, right between the Malos Aa and the slow Aa (Ecliptic)
if you feel the tank should get more heals: counterbias slow in dps-section with recourse hot for tank (this hot stacks with grouphot)
Frost-nuke at dps-section to trigger twinheal

splash-heal as first heal at hight %hp
reckless as single target heal for mid-level %hp … using 2 or 3 of them
AA-Intervention, BP-click and Spell-Intervention for low-hp-heals (around 30% hp depend on ping/lag)

and ofc: never heal with mending, rather mem 2 or 3 of the reckless-type heals

you may double the reckless-heal lines using different values if ma or not like
reckless @ 60% hp for MA (60-70%, depends on ping/lag)
reckless @ 40% hp (for all others, as the running groupheals will keep them alive nevertheless, so no casttime wasted where ma may need it)

as long as I was using KA for my shaman I managed healing that way and it worked really well for me
