you can still pharm HGs, just have to do it with a melee atm. seems the casting on them is broken.

It's not broken. They're bellycast mobs. Have to cast on them while standing underneath them.

Did it not get fixed in this patch? Cause Grumbok said he was working on it.

There have been a few new guides submitted but they will be rolled out with the new Site update
