Problem - <SOLVED Thankyou all expecially Szazor>All 6 toons can login together but no loading spells buffs etc. is that normal....have followed wiki.. (1 Viewer)

Hi am returning player. Never boxed before except back in the day alt-tab.

I have 2 Subbed accounts and 4 FTP. Have watched the Kissassist videos which were great but I missing something.

Issue: the 6 man toons once loaded don't do anything. Steps that I have done.

Installed Redguides launcher and ran launch MQ.

Created a group with 6 toons and all login successfully.

Run kissassist and created the ini file.

Checked each of the Kissassist_char_name ini files and each have a role. I Tank and 5 assists.

Also have checked that buffs are on, heals are on and dps on where required by the toons. buffson=1 etc.

I am assuming that the invite should happen automatically and each toon check their spells and mem them?

Presently they don't do any of that. I have to manually invite them. And I have to check their spells etc even though the ini files state which ones should be loaded.

One Key point: in the tutorial videos on grouping the presenter says "I have pre made the groups Caster, Tank, Melee and DPS" and then sends /dge commands to a toon to cast a spell. This does not happen with me. I can send a DGAE call to wave and all is good.
What does he mean he pre makes groups? I have gone through the Kissassist wiki a few times now and I don't see this anywhere. Bear in mind I could be stupid or just old.....lol....60+

I must be missing something obvious. Sorry.

Your KA version is quite old - try hitting update on the launcher and then relaunch your toons. May not fix your issue but you definitely want to update.

Hi thanks for the reply.

I copied each of the ini's from the resource page, so each ini has a different version inside.......my main is version 12.02. Most of the other ini's (of my toons) are version 11.0 when opening in notepad.

The version listed inside the ini is still the same when I copied them. Does this mean that the ini should update itself to the latest version when I execute profile and "load all" group?

This is the macro I kick off the group with but it does nothing with other group members....no loading spells etc.

SCREEN SHORTS DELETED AS i HAD A TOON NAME.........but all good now

First off - you shouldn't post pics with your toon names here. First rule of fight club is we dont talk about fight club!

Secondly - you are very close, But you need to run each command from each toon ie from your PullerTank /mac kissassist From your dps type /mac kissassist <TankName> 98

If you want to start all your toons from the tank - you can do this by doing a /bct or a /dge depending on what you are using to communicate. I recommend using the plugin Dannet for communications between your toons.

The main thing is to start small, there is a lot to learn - and there are tools for each process. The whole process of How to group, and move are probably the most important steps for a beginner.

Look up things like Mq2autoaccept, then have a play in some out of the way zone. Learn how to /chase and not rely on Follow buttons, or Come here buttons. Create hotkeys to pause everyone too. Most useful.

Ask lots of questions too. We like to help!
