Thank you Coffee/PMS for helping me. Thank you ArmySoldier, reading your macros taught me alot.

Make sure all Bags are open and you have all items in your inventory.

Make sure forge is set to the old style.

Run the macro.

It will end when it is out of components.

It will tell you your current skill before every combine.

It will clean out the Forge before every combine to be sure you dont have stacks in there.

Any problems let me know.

This will take you to 300 smithing. Its very expensive, but only two sub combines. So if money dont matter to you like me...lol.

About 1.2 to 1.5 million to 300 depending on where you start making these at. I started at 170ish.

Rich (BB code):
Sub Main

   /echo Current Blacksmithing =${Me.Skill[Blacksmithing]}

That's simple to get Smithing up, and cheap if you have the cash, honestly, if I were concerned, I would do it.

Is smithing lucrative?

I am coming back to EQ after a long absence.

I bought some plat 100k for $7 recently. 1.5 mil sounds like a lot. Can I make my money back with this or is it worth it?

i do believe smithing can be very profitable, but not sure how much it is by it self, you may need to have higher skills in the other trade skills as well if you wish to do everything your self.

no resale on these. cost me about 10K per skillup. I only did 185 to 215 a few months back. assuming made macro since does not work in new ui :P

Yea, like I said, its an expensive route. But, for me, I would rather buy everything and have it cost more plat, than farm. I detest farming.

And yea, it sucks this combine dont work with the new UI, its impossible to learn the 'recipe'. And sony sits there and wonders why we all use MQ? Because they do stupid shit like that. I am no at 285 in smith, 15 more to go...

Anyone know an easy way to get Tinkering and Tailoring up to 300? I know Solstace Robes to 252 for tailoring. Wondering if there is anything else.

Im looking in to making some tradeskill macros.. Just moving atm so not much time

Someone should make a macro for gem studded chains, good to get to 300 for JC

If gem studded chains were stackable, or atleast the pre-combines, it would make things alot easier.

Im gonna work on a one for
Mistletoe Cutting Sickle's

http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/recipe.html?recipe=3609

It wont be totally automated , would need to do probably 500 of the minor combines (blessed dust of tunare) and CE"s but basically the point of the macro would be to make 1 of each of the main parts then combine to make the final product , Id advise though doing it in the guild hall and having someone pick up the pieces for maybe guild tribute or maybe after 1 bag is full have him move to guild tribute master hand them in and go back to the forge.

This is gonna be awhile before I get to do this programing but I think it would be atleast be cool to have that 300k or 1.2 mill be turned into a crap load of tribute points atleast. Plus you have the bank right there too so you can stock more items up there. Any thoughts before I attempt to get this working ?

is there a quick way to get the items needed for Purified Water, one of the parts of the combine is foraged. or am I missing something?

Brewing Components: Celestial Essence, Water Flask(2)
In: Brew Barrel, Tanaan Brew Barrel, Portable Drink Barrel, Collapsible Distillery
Yield: 1
Trivial at: 58

I attempted this to hopefully max my wife and i's toons on smith, but notice at 275 message came up and we could no longer advance doing that recipe, anyone else run into this snafu, i was hopin it would beat the hell out of shopin in bazaar for the rhenium ore, wife was ticked because she was 275 and did a whole bunch before we noticed that she could no longer advance, so now shes mad cause we spent 100k before she noticed, so now i got to do something to be able to sleep in the bed again
heheh

Couple quick notes to make things move faster
if you have a fellowship, make a campfire at the forge across from the jewler, then bind yourself in abysmal sea, there you can make the celestial essence and purified water, have a enchanter bot, or friend park at the campfire to enchant the velium so you can continually keep moving, only slow part is the mass enchant, shame there is no mac or automation for that, but doing this way cuts down on alot of running around, at least for me it did heh
