Question - single box group killing trash raid mobs...

Hello,

I have a full ToV gear 6 box group and I am wondering if there are some raid events out there that I could kill trash on and possible get raid items.

looking for thoughts or suggestions.

Group consists of SK (tank) cleric, shaman, 2-Zerkers, and a bard.

run CWTN plugins for all toons except shaman and bard of course.

you can definitely 1 group the ToV raid trash for the slot 22 luck augs - i like doing GD

do them all the time. velks is fun. no reason that group design shouldnt work.

Having a puller who can split groups, especially when mobs are mez immune, is a big part to being able to do these instances smoothly. Are you well versed enough on your bard to split groups into singles or doubles?

I've been wondering the same thing and have a very similar group make up - my question for the brain trust: by "trash" are you just talking the mobs that are pre-spawned when you zone in? For example, in GD - the wurms and tizmaks? Or are there mobs that spawn when the event is triggered?

Pre spawned trash such as the wurms and tizmak in GD. If you trigger any of the raids to start only raid mobs spawn.

That being said your group make up should easily be able to clear the trash for luck augs like Sic mentioned as well as the drops for the tov slot 19 augs if you've done your ear far enough to be able to use them.

So for the augs for tov and tbl there from raid trash mobs in tov gd there the wirms tuzmoks in fight fire raid mission therr the mobs not on fight fire island

I did the PoFire raid in TBL since they are so many mobs.. its like the GD raid in ToV

I use 7 toons to clear the GD trash. Last clear I got 3 Luck Augs and like 4 Ores.

I use SK SHM BRD BST ZERK ZERK with the Cleric outside the group using Xtar healing and CWTN plugins. All characters are max AA and full T3 ToV group.

SK pulling with Rest the Dead and it's 1-2 per pull almost guaranteed if you just take your time. I will occasionally wipe of course, but for the most part I sail right through with no issues whatsoever.

Wurms and Tizmaks are ToV. The Fight Fire instance someone mentioned earlier is actually TBL.

If you can handle ToV trash, my advice is to do the 2nd floor of ToFS (f you have the key to get to the top floor of ToFS with the room with all the mirrors to other rooms... you can't just click up normally, you have to click up using the click to the windows room and then back down to the 2nd floor). The 2nd floor is all DB to lvl 115, which opens up a lot of opportunities for your group. Also, all those things are mezzable, which makes it very easy.

By Ores you mean diamondized Ore Nuggets?

I've never gotten a Nugget from the spawned trash. Just the ore used to make the type 18/19 augs. Do nugz drop from the pre-populated spawned trash? If they do I've never gotten one in several clears. Would seem crazy to me if 1 group could farm actual raid loot.

Not raid loot. The ores that drop from raid trash up upon entering ToV raid zones is the ores to make the type 19 augs. The type 19 aug ores and the luck augs are the only thing worthwhile from the raid trash.
