you do know the zone names of every zone is in your eq directory right?

The easiest way to get the zone name is to go to that zone and type /who all (yourname). It will say (yourname) then (zonename). Or if you know someone is in that zone, /who all (theirname)

ie: 70 Uber Bard hohonora for Halls of Honor.

I always I have a browser window open, thus it is easier to switch tabs vice bring up and file manger window to pick through the zone files. This way I just search for the long name and there isn't any guessing.

Or in your browser you could type "C:/youreqfolder" and never open a new window

Not sure if that only works on IE or not, though.

It does only work in IE. With windows 2000 MS intergrated the file manager window with IE technology. Personally I do not use IE because thier pop-up blocker isn't that strong and you can't use the internal tab windows like you with Netscape or FireFox.

How can i go about writing a /if statement that calls a diff sub routine based on what zone i'm in. I have some that do it as an event but that only helps if i zoned while running the macro. Looking to be able to have it check the zone and run different routines based on the zone, and if not of the /if 's are true then do a default. Here is what i tried and failed.

/call Z

I didn't do a /declare for the zone.id not sure if that was needed or not and if so what to declare it as.

You will need to find the numbers for each zone. Go to each zone and type
/echo ${Zone.ID}
it is case sensitive.
now your code should look like (numbers are made up)

/call Z

and to compare strings in MQ you need to use a member, like .Equal

so it'd really be

..etc

or

/if (${Zone.ShortName.Equal["greatdivide"]}) {
...etc
