why does MQ2 (VV & MQ2 sk, mage, shaman, beastlord, enchanter plugins as well as grind) Not sure which, probably VV coding, has all the trash in the zone reporting as named.

How is this fixable?

Cwtn plugins actually handle their own named for all modern zones and most old ones

So sounds like you need to adjust your burncount or turn off burnalways.

iirc, everquest appends a # to the front of a mob name to flag it as a named. like #Diabo_Xin_Thall00 or similar. but because it's recognizing the # or capital letter first (which happens often too), it thinks "ooh named" and off to the races.

If you're using CWTN plugins, there is likely a burn named switch somewhere. Toggle that off until you have a thing you want to...

The other route would require that cwtn, ka, etc all had an internal list of mobs that are named and checked against. but that's a different discussion entirely.

The cwtn plugins don't use that for any modern expansions, and many older zones too.

Yes, I think have the CWTN plugins managed by disabling burn always for my JV squad and saving the burns for the train....

I just need to figure out how to manage KA

Well you listed all the cwtn plugins, so...

Burn always is "always burn as the words would imply" which has nothing to do with the mobs name.

I think you just created a lot of confusion for yourself and folks who want to help.

For kiss, you'd want to use mq2spawnmaster and use the .HasTarget member in a condition.

Here is a thread with more info

# does NOT mean named.
