I wrote a little macro to warp-kite single rats in Forgotten Halls for my solo ranger to make pincushions. He just warps back and forth between the two ends of a hallway while the hapless rat tries to catch him.
The problem is....
after a hundred or so warps, the server seems to just lock my position, so when I warp to the opposite end of the hallway, I can see the rat just keep heading to my old position, and I am getting my arse chewed off. I run around, thinking there was just a packet lost, and with a few more movement/location packets, the server will eventually update my position, but it does not. I just watch the rat chew on empty space until I am dead.
I am overwriting the warp tattle-tale byte in the movement tracking packet to make it appear as ordinary movement, instead of a warp. So the easiest theory is out the window...
Anybody else having similar issues? Any chance it is just the server lagging, and failing to update position for a really long time?
