Problem - Running KA in Manual setting aggro=0

Hello,
Been using MQ off and on for a long time, always appreciate the efforts by folks here to make the game easier to multi-box.

I just recently rolled up a 4-box on live just to explore the game again, and so far everything is going great with the way I have my group set up.

However, when using /mac kissassist manual while my SK is targetting himself (to keep buffs up etc) it resets aggro=0 in mq2melee every time.
It still shows aggro=1 in the .ini, and once KA is running I can just set it back to aggro=1 myself, but i'm curious why this is happening and if there is a simple fix to stop it.

It's not really a major problem, but sometimes I forget to do it and then my poor ranger gets throatpunched until I remember to turn it back on.

In your ini file for your SK, set UseMQ2Melee=0. That will stop turning off /melee aggro.

That didn't do what I wanted it to do. I want the SK to keep using mq2melee to automate taunt, etc. Changing that parameter to 0 just completely turned off mq2melee.
I still want it on, and in aggro mode.

Anyone? I tried running it with UseMq2melee=0 but that just turns mq2melee off, and doesn't even give me /melee options.
What I want is to be able to /mac kissassist manual on my SK to keep up buffs from my shaman, but still have the SK auto-fire taunt/provoke etc while I manually pull and position him.
This is working in some capacity, except when running kissassist my /melee options are different that if i'm not running it, and I have to turn /melee aggro=1 everytime I run KA.

What am I missing?

Have you tried using a "/mqp" button instead? That will just pause the macro while you pull/position, then hit it again and it instantly jumps right back into the macro. Great for manual control.

You could also trying running the tank on eqmule's mod version of KA. It may have the same issue, but does have quite a few code changes. It's included in your Vanilla package under the macros folder: Kissassist1004e15.mac

More info on the mod version.

Otherwise you may have to wait until somebody looks through the KA code and tracks down why the Aggro= is rewritten by the manual mode.

if you go to line 6098 and replace with

/if (${UseMQ2Melee}) /squelch /melee aggro=1

that should fix your issue
