Question - Rez = 1

So I learned the hard way that auto accept rez can be BAD .... how do you keep from putting yourself into a loop if you aren't paying attention while keeping the ability to combat rez?

Heh he is referring to the dying/rez/dying/rez death cycle.

Jax, I keep rez on but turn off clickbacktocamp. That way, if the cleric is still alive, then there is a reason to return to camp - and the cleric will rez you. If there is no cleric, no sense in going back to camp. The times I have seen the death loops is when clickbacktocamp was on.

There is not only the KA auto rez setting, but also one in another plugin (MQ2Rez?) which I have turned on so it doesn't matter what mac I am running, if any.

Can you describe the situation? Grp comp, camp loc, were you there to witness what was causing deaths? I mean, if the cleric was still there to keep rezing you, why wasn't whatever kept killing you over and over not killing the cleric? etc...

It was a merc that kept casting it. I had feigned on my SK and the others had died so I was trying to figure out how to recover without running back to the camp, but meanwhile the banshee soother merc kept casting reviv.

I finally selected bind location quick enough that it didn't rez me back to where I was feigned.

That's kinda a one off. Perhaps a hotkey to turn merc passive in a crisis situation like that, or even suspend. But I still maintain, if the healer is still alive, why wouldn't you want a rez? If the healer is still alive, then there is something to come back to. It is rare that the healer is last one standing. In my experience, healer is one of the first to go (perhaps second only to the bard?) therefore no rez coming.
