Research 0 - 243 all on vendor (for Army)

Not too long ago, Army said he wanted this so he could make a mac for it, so here it is:

You can go from 0 to 243 in Research all on vendor:

0 - 54
1 - Travel to Crescent Reach and buy a "Spell Research Kit" from Researcher Layla (Loc -1431,-1448) or use Alt + F
2 - There is a ramp behind Layla go up ramp and talk to Researcher Akila (Loc -1434, -1472) Hail Akila and say "Training" then, "Ready to Start. She will give you 4 tasks. Complete the tasks to raise the skill to 54. If you run out of supplies just say "supplies" and she will give you more stuff to combine.

55 - 102
Vial of Muriatic Acid

103 - 144
Parchment Solution

145 - 174
Fine Parchment Solution

175 - 203
Vellum Parchment Solution

204 - 216
Fine Vellum Parchment Solution

217 - 243
Runic Parchment Solution

Probably the best way to do it would be to buy the Aqua Regia and Oil of Vitrol in Corathus Creep then goto Abysmal Sea and run everything... imo...

Actually, you could do

0 - 54
Vial of Purified Water

Which is a required ingredient in later combines anyway. That would cut out having to do the Cresent 0 - 54 Quest...

And technically:

0 - 20
Goto your Guildmaster and skill up to 20 with your points.

so:
21 - 54
Vial of Purified Water

Started it today and was working on the Parchment Solution and it costs a fortune . So following this guide you are going to be paying alot of cash .

Im now broke but skills are now up to 144. So now will have to wait until i make some more money .

Yeah, it is expensive. BUT, the only other alternative is a LOT of farming. But at least this way you can mac it. It's not as expensive as jewelry or smithing, but it still costs about 50-100k to get to 200 i guess? I should of tracked the cost when i did it. It's really good for someone with a wiz alt that they are trying to get research to 185+ so they can do epic 1.5 pre quest thing.

OMG. I had to do combines uphill both ways in the snow---in the old days...

Seriously. I spent about 2 hours a night for nearly a year porting all over Norrath and buying up Runes from vendors and in the Baz. Just getting to 190 or so in Research burned up a good 3,000+ runes.

I ain't kidding. I was on Fironia Vie, which is limited to just the one character. I had about 3 corpse banks full of runes before I finally sat down one weekend and burned them up doing Research combines.

100K is a small price to pay, relatively. Remember that there are some runes with the same name that are actually different. It was a real pain in the buttocks.

any macros for this out there? Its been along time since I made one of these I guess this would be a good one to get back in to the swing of things.

this is no longer the way to level up your research so i wouldnt be surprised if there was no macro. Best way and mostly because you can find nearly any one of the levels of binding powder in the bazaar for nearly 1/5th of the price to make a solution. Down side here is ofcourse making the solutions when you will be ready to make the spells youll have the solutions on hand if you dont sell them back. Also each solution takes 3 saltpeter and i believe 2 crystallized sulfur to make. Those can be found in the bazaar. As far as the gems go save your gems chances are they are used in a solution.

if youre frugal you could prolly get by with getting your spell research to 300 on less than 200k.
