Is there any the following could be removed?

1. Forcing you to target yourself before you can type /mac kissassist manual
2. Forcing you to untarget your current mob before you can type /mac kissassist tank

Putting aside how incredibly annoying the BLEEEEP noise is, it's just annoying having to start KISS twice for no reason in manual or tank modes. It's perfectly feasible to start kiss in assist mode even while targeting a mob, so I don't see why it can't be that way for tank/manual. This is notably time consuming if I find myself having to switch KISS roles. My offtank is typically in DPS mode, but right now, if I want to suddenly switch him to tank, I have to do the following:

1. End macro
2. Pause briefly
3. Target self
4. Pause briefly
5. Start KISS in tank mode
6. Hope he picks up something I actually want him to pick up

If you could start tank mode targetting a mob, and having your tank just start tanking that mob before moving on to others, it would be incredibly useful, especially for off tanks. Right now, switching from DPS to tank is just cumbersome and finnicky.

/mac kissassist tank <Your Name Here> No need to target anything.

/mac kissassist assist <Name of who you want to assist here> No need to target anyone.

I know how how /mac kissassist assist SoAndSo works, I mentioned it in my post. Looks like /mac kissassist tank TankName works, although it still doesn't seem necessary for someone to specify the toon's name in a context where any other name wouldn't make any sense (/mac kissassist manual and /mac kissassist tank are both things which are explicitly about the toon who typed the that command, requiring a name doesn't make sense when no other name seems meaningful).

What exactly would happen if ToonA were to type /mac kissassist tank ToonB? As in, what would it even mean to go into tank mode with someone else's name?

The last part I mentioned, about typing /mac kissassist tank while targeting a mob you want to tank, could be incredibly useful (or alternatively to avoid accidentally attacking NPCs, something like /mac kissassist tank [some spawn ID])

tank mode withsomeone else name is just tank mode with that person as assist target. meaning you will attack his targets, like a puller, you assit of

@kaen01 is there any way, via kiss launch parameters or via some /command while kiss is running, to basically order your tank "stop what you're doing and tank this specific target please"?

I guess in theory I could just have TankB in tank mode assisting TankA, and just target a mob with TankA and use /switchnow to assign TankB to it, but if there was a way of doing this without having to target a specific mob on TankA, it would be a lot easier

You should only have 1 character set as role Tank/PullerTank/PetTank. Those roles assign that toon as MainAssist. All other roles should be assist. There shouldn't be 2 characters in the same group with a Tanking type role.

Kiss was not designed to have an off tank.

I don't have two tanks in KISS, I play my main character (a paladin) manually and sometimes have my KISS controlled warrior offtank. I'm wondering whether there's any way to control what the kiss controlled tank chooses to go after, because it doesn't always make sense (i.e. tanking a light blue add instead of the red con named pounding on the cleric). Is there any mechanism for explicitly choosing what the KISS controlled tank actually attacks?

you can /bca //switchnow from the MA

Unfortunately, if the kiss tank IS the MA, you can't pick a new target with a non-MA toon :(

Really wish you could, because I drive my necro, and my tank is my MA, and sometimes I want them all to swap

You can provide a name for assisting as a parameter, for starting KissAssist in my group I don't target anyone at all. To reproduce this the following is used from the tank

/bca //mac kissassist assist ${Me.Name} 98
/mac kissassist pullertank ${Me.Name}

This removes the need to target a specific character as the provided name is chosen as the "MA" and if you are the MA, then your name is chosen and used.

/bca //mac kissassist assist ${Me.Name} 98
/bct PullerName //end
/bct PullerName //mac kissassist puller ${Me.Name} 98
/mac Kissassist Tank ${Me.Name}

for different puller than the tank.

Both examples work for me.
