Apparently someone started a one-time multi-guild event right before server maintenance at 2am and screwed everyone over that had been working on preperation for weeks.

Blizzard is deleting posts as fast as they can but see this link for more info.

On the server my high lvl characters are on, medivh. The best horde guild (best guild on server- alliance and horde combined), Ascent, moved their whole guild of 60s to Thrall, a new server. Suddenly... everyone in any instance got owned! This is what happened to a raid in Naxx when thrall exploded.

Personally, I think that it would be really cool to be the one who set off the gong and "ruined" the entire AQ event. Look at the popularity of it amongst WoW players. It is a conspiracy for the ages, and I for one would think that it is pretty cool to have been the one who messed it up.

Like Black said, it really is just a game, and there is always RL, which in my book counts. This is exactly why I wouldn't ever want to be part of a conspiracy in RL.
