Problem - RedCent gifts

I tried to gift my friend a month subscription twice now, and both times it changed the recipient from his name to mine. I have double checked and all spellings are correct. Why can I not gift to him?

Weird, I told him to check his email to see if there was anything like validating his address, but the only email he got was when he changed his password.

I suspect this has to do with having to lock some things down recently due to bots spamming the site (irony).

Red will have a look asap.

I mentioned I gave your friend 50 redcents. Which would be enough to buy themselves level 2. But it doesn't appear as though they've used them to get level 2 from the redcent shop. So this is just a reminder that an effort was made to get them to level 2 despite the issues with gifting a level 2. They should be able to get themselves a level 2.

it was the old locked-account issue, sorry about that. A permanent fix will be in the next forum upgrade.

Awesome, thank you so much. Just the day before I had gifted another friend a month, and had no issue. So I was confused that it didnt work.
