Request - Recongnize zone has changed when in Manual mode

Sometimes I have a situation where Puller Tank is automatically switched to Tank. Finally got around to seeing what is happening.



In this case (and the vast majority of cases for my usage), the starting mode was Manual. I can see this transition happening when the mode is already Puller Tank and the toon zones. It seems Manual is a case where this check isn't needed.

Hmm. I thought I laid out clearly I understand why it's happening. I also stated clearly I was not in Puller Tank mode when I zoned (or more accurately, when I set Puller Tank in the first place while in the zone). This is the purpose of the request.

For me, I always switch to manual before moving and this happens 100% of the time. Working as intended I suppose.

Not 100% sure it's intended but until one of the creators chime in, the easiest fix i know to prevent it is before you try and go back to puller tank or whichever mode I do /shd resetcamp once I get to my new spot.

Fair. Though in this case the ss is showing what I set it too and it immediately setting it to Tank. And my explanation was accurate in terms of the observed behavior. The messages aren't in order, though. The casting of Stonewall Stance happened after I set it to Puller Tank. /shrug

The only time we swap your mode is if you are in puller tank or puller assist and zone - and then we swap you to tank and assist respectively.

(that and to manual mode if you try to go in a mode but don't have mq2nav/mesh loaded)

if you are in pullertank/huntertank - we swap to tank and give "Zone Changed, turning off puller tank and putting you in tank mode." msg.
if you are in pullerassist - we swap to assist and give "Zone changed, turning off puller assist and putting you in assist mode." msg.

We don't swap your plugin mode if you are in manual mode and zone.

I would double check that you're not hitting a social hotkey or a on zoned cfg or react or something else that is changing your mode from manual

I don't have any additional configuration, and I use the UI to switch modes. I would guess that setting mode to manual doesn't clean up the internal state of what camp zone and xyz are, so when puller tank is turned back on from manual again and it doesn't match, it's trigging your ' if you are in pullertank/huntertank - we swap to tank and give "Zone Changed, turning off puller tank and putting you in tank mode." msg. ' logic. It's incredibly minor, but it does happen reliably.

this is also not true. going to manual mode clears your camp information. We also don't auto swap to huntertank or pullertank. only to manual if no mesh, or assist if pullerassist and zone, or tank if huntertank or puller tank and zone.

/shrug I don't know what to tell you. What is supposed to happen and what is actually happening are two different things here. When I travel with my toons on auto follow, I always put them in Manual mode (or pause macro processing) to prevent them from casting while invis. This morning I zoned in under Manual. Got to my camp spot (Mage group CotH if it matters), put macro processing back on for those using macros. Put Assist mode for those using plugins. Took off invis mode. After all the buffing finished (again, tank is in Manual mode at this point), I set the tank to Puller Tank. It immediately switched to Tank. This isn't the first time it's happened. I just thought it was something that was intended and requested an alteration for when starting in Manual mode.
