Guide - Raising divination on PL'd character (or just left behind)

Not the most amazing thing and probably known, but if you're PLing a new toon, or even leveling regularly there are some toons you'll find don't need divination early on, but later on suddenly get useful spells and fizzle all the time.

In addition to regular spell spamming, at 55 you can get for 1 AA an AA version of identify with a fast cast time and effectively no recast time, and of course no mana cost. But it seems to train divination skill even though you're not really casting a spell.

Even my level 100 toons now that I'm back I saw were like 100-150 or so points under cap for divination, so while i'm setting up hotbuttons and stuff i have them all targeting themselves and chain casting it.

use /casting 346 -kill and /interrupt when you're done with it

PS It's also helpful to raise up that specialization skill of course too.

Yeah i should have realized it would do that but it surprised me i was just messing with the AA and saw a skill up and 'oh yeah... andthe invis AA's do that too'.. but EVERY character gets this, and its faster than shared invis etc.

Yeah, the nice thing about this is its quick casting and no recast delay/mana usage so anybody can use it right off is all, and its fast and can't fizzle. I know theres plenty of other ways to spam actual spells.

Step 1... Fill up buff slots with bullshit buffs.
Step 2... go to a zone where buffs do not fade.
^-- interchangable.
Step 3... Make a macro to spam a Self Only Invis AA.
Step 4... Make Popcorn.
Step 5... Notice how toon is maxed in Divination and Specialize Divination before the popcorn is gone!

Why it works:
When your buff slots are full and you try to use a self only buff, the buff gets blocked, which causes the AA to reset... Skill gains come between being cast and the ability being reset.
Works for Alteration if you spam a self only Spire.
Works for Abjuration too with some classes.

I just loaded up true north, sanctuary, and sense dead into the first three gem slots.

When I was in Shards landing, I /twist 1 2 3. got the last 60 points of Div, and 30 points of Spec Div in less that one episode of Elementary.

I guess you could have just used true north and sense dead, but it worked for me.
