Obviously I still need the faction and tasks before I can request anything was just wondering whats possible with a SK, Cleric, Bard, Beastlord, Zerker, Zerker? Im guessing with only 6 none of the level 100+ stuff would be doable, but I dont really care about those. Mainly wondering if the 75-90 stuff can be done with only 1 group? On FV a lot of that loot still sells for a good bit, especially weapons and any clickies. Would be a nice fast way to maybe generate some Kronos.
 
Great question thomasmgp! I have no experience with this but i believe we have some experts here on this topic.
 
before it went down the ranger forum had an extensive solo list which included some SoD and UF stuff and that was years ago when the cap was proly still like 100. So I assume if it can be soloed at 100 its just completely faceroll at 105-110 with a full group. So I guess maybe everything up to VoA and maybe tier 1 RoF can be 6 manned at this point?
 
I farm VoA 1 for the guild trophy. That one is easy, but it helps if your clicker has a way to heal themselves. I personally use a ranger.

In your setup, the beastlord could probably do it just fine.
 
Just started doing this myself. I completed the following raids this weekend (SK, Cleric, Shaman, Mage, Mage, Bard).

The Buried Sea/Solteris:
Mayong's Mistress
Deadly Swarm
The Captured Portal

Secrets of Faydwer:
Completed Crystallos and MMM

Seeds of Destruction:
Completed Tier 1 and Tier 2

Underfoot:
Fippy's Revenge
The Unborrowing
Masked Invaders

House of Thule:
Tick Tock
The Roots of Evil

Corrupted Temple of Veeshan:
Koi

Just a heads up, the back flags take awhile. Beginning in HoT, all members need the group mission flags to participate in the raid.

It looks like it will be pretty easy to progress through SoD, Underfoot and HoT. Not too many debilitating mechanics and the damage is easy to manage. My only limiting factor, thus far, is time. The only two events that I've gotten stuck on are Ritual of Terror (HoT) and Stalwart Defenders (Solteris).
 
@Clevinger the hard about about Ritual of Terror is getting your clickers to the proper tower, up into the tower, and having them click the item all at about the same time. Then you need to keep toons in each of the towers to ensure the tower stays agroed because (if I recall correctly), if any tower is unagroed for too long it'll reset the event.
 
My group is pretty rock solid. I can box most RoF T2 (some raids give me trouble, others are pushovers). Was able to do RoF T3 Chelsith raid and RoF T4 1st raid (got smoked hard by the 2nd raid). I didn’t try Plane of Shadow raid. I was also able to 6-box CoTF Ethernere and Dead Hills raids (the easier of the two in each set). I note that your group is pretty much all melee classes. This could obviously make some of the fights a struggle if they require spell damage / range damage.

Group: SK / SHM / BRD / RNG / MAG / WIZ

Anything TDS+ you’ll get smoked with a team of six.
Most CoTF will be challenging or impossible with six.
Most RoF you can do if your team is solid.
VoA is mechanics heavy and the challenge will be the mechanics not the difficulty of the mobs.
HoT is similar. Mechanics make it difficult, not the mobs.
UF I steamrolled all the way through Convorteum with my team.
 
I Like doing older raids for fun and the ach, For the most part i run 6, sometimes mechanics require more.
I would Highly recommend eqfreelance.net for raid strategies

I know raids from HOT to TDS require progression and Raid flagging in order to request the raid, but doesnt require anything in order to participate ( apart from HOT ticktock raid which requires the house mission to participate ), this will block u from getting to the easier raids, unless u can get someone to request them for u.
 
I kinda want to see if I can get down the TBM PoHate raid with 12 toons. Only issue is my pally is 101 and naked, so... hah no splash, I guess?

@Onamatter I didn't realize the group flags were only required for the Tier 1 raids for HoT. Good to know (although still too late for me, I went through all the flagging already ^^ ). Also, thank you for the eqfreelance link. That is fantastic. I've literally been looking for a resource like this for years.

I'm a huge fan of freelance, myself.

As far as HoT raids go, I don't recall anything particularly spectacular about the rewards from them, except for getting to say you've done it. UF had the brells head (or whatever it was... whatever boosted that TS cloak/aug thing). I don't know of an equivalent in HoT... maybe some sought after illusions or clickies??

Not sure the motivating factor for the OP, but I just doing the old content for fun. I retired after PoP, so this content is still fresh for me. It feel likes UF, or maybe VoA, were the last "complete" expansions.

Ah, that's right, the prayer shawl 2.0. I was going to go through all the pain and anguish of doing UF and killing that asshole at the end (and all the mechanics that go into it) for the head, but I found out that for the prayer shawl 3.0 you don't need to do any of that bs. You can start on the 3.0 and progress into that one with the group version of the 2.0.

There's also the question of whether the 3.0 is even still relevant ... as far as AC/HP goes, it's not the insane upgrade it once was. And for a SK.... meh ..... don't really need the agro generated from it.
 
flagging in order to request these raids is beyond retarded. i dont see why i should have to spend hours or even days just to be able to do a raid 20 levels lower than me. Just finished up Solteris flag. Now I guess I need to do everything for SoF, SoD, and Underfoot. Hopefully I will be able to do old raids for fun by Christmas.

On the bright side, i think you only need to flag one toon to request the raids. Count yourself lucky because there used to be participation requirements on a lot of them.

the problem isnt the group tasks. they are quite easy. Im just worried once I get to SoD and beyond if I will be able to box the early raids needed to request later raids. if they have some backwards ass full retard, mechanic that requires 10 people to hail a mob while facing north and doing /dance then im screwed.

Others use MQ2Events to take care of bs like that. Personally, I never bothered and just accepted if the script was too complex that boxing wouldn’t happen.
 
I run older raids every now and again, Cotf is the highest ive 6 boxed

SoD raids old blackburrow raid was only one I needed help with and Kaesora Library was abit of a pain.
UF raids got stuck on Brell's temple trials, havent been back, tradeskilling in a raid :bang:
HoT once past Feerrott raid, Erudin Burning will cause u trouble and the last 4 raid
VoA is just tricky to do, first 5 are doable, but rubak needs 9 toons for a click mechanic
RoF shards is so easy, the mechanics for the next few might block you from the easier ones
Cotf Doomscale Horde and The legacy of Bayle are easy
 
I see several mentioned they did fippy in UF, how do you manage it with 6? I tried in past (before mq admittedly) but couldn't get enough procs off to finish that phase. Last I heard it took like 18 to get enough procs.
Would love to see the rest of UF, is there a trick to it?

Could you use the aa that rangers (and maybe others) get that procs every swing?

Killed Flippy in UF with pally bard ranger zerker x3, took awhile with the procs, so guessing i was close to the time limit, but went smoothly.
Not sure how the procs work, but melee group would be best, use low delay weapons, bard overhaste or Burning Salad with haste buffs and any AA/clicky too get them too fire.
I remember there being a stacking issuse with the clickys on zerker, so if you use eqbc /useitem double check they get the buff.

I'll definitely have to look into trying it out again then. Glad to know it's doable! Appreciate it :) finally get to go see UF raids hopefully. Been thinking I'd need to go figure out how to box 18 lol.
 
Just Tried fippy. Beat him down to 80 np, then when he came back (eveyone has the buff) he just kept healing up every time he got to 68. Passed the 10 minute mark I assume because he started putting out moderate dps. After some time he just went to 0, died and nothing. No chest, no loot on corpse even though it had a 30 minute timer on it.

Since last time i looked at this thread, I started doing some CoTF raids for spells. (with one group) I also flagged myself and started doing higher level VOA raids for spells, as well.
 
I'm trying to work UF for drunken monkey rk 3. Also want to look at Fear For zerker disc. Good to know cotf and voa are possible.


I'm wondering if it broke due to just not having enough procs. had 4 melee on it including a bard and there were lots of procs, but lots of 1 dmg.

You will need 6 toons atleast meleeing on him to get enough procs off, i feel. Think he has x amount of health and the procs only do 1 dmg, to get him to the next phase.
 
I think normal melee does 1, the procs do around 6k or so. I'll try again with more melee.
