Good day,

with luclin being close to unlock I wonder what I will be able to do (raid) with my 2 groups.

I played some TLP servers before but never touched raid content so I wonder what I will be able to do on my own.

I started doing some smaller raid targets in velioius but Im still at the beginning so I cant cant realy say how successful I will be.

Atm my group is ok equiped mostly in HoT armor. I run…

Group 1: WAR / CLR / ENC / ROG / DRU / MAG (or BRD if needed)

Group 2: SHD / CLR / BRD / MNK / MNK / SHA

I guess in luclin era 1 bard is enough because oft he handy aoe resist songs? Or do I still need 2 bards for some reason?

What do you think will be doable for 2 groups raidwise?

Umbral plains, lcea katta, and easy ssra bosses (rhags) should be doable. Probably THO and grieg if your tank is solid.

Need to have time.. alot of time. The HP and AC bump on SoL mobs didnt scale well lol.. substained DPS and decent mana pool. Other then that I agree with Tweeb.

Forgot to mention earlier but akheva ruins will also have targets for you, everything but shei should be possible. And the easy bug boss in acrylia caverns.

Yeah also getting some +mana regen on the clerics might be critical to help sustain through the long fights. Itraer Vius, Doomshade, and Grieg all have good pieces for this.

would a third group open more content?

Or is stuff like Emporer for bigger raidforces? I remember back in the old days we did raids with 50+ people :-)

Emp is probably the toughest fight in luclin because of the adds you have to offtank, it's arguably tougher than anything in vex thal which is basically candyland once you have your key to get in.

A 3rd might get you an audience with the Lord Inquisitor, if you can snag some RGCs and work on bane weapons.

A third group and you might be doing XtC and first half of glyphed cycle. HP if you're well equipped.

But also look backwards. 18 with AAs and gear is definitely statue and maybe vindi or KT. Dozekar and his tears have longevity. Yelinak is a good source of 41% haste. Dain if you can stand the slog and your melee need belts. Zlandi and ST to bump that dps up.

Is there ways to spawn the raids on these servers? I know all of Ssra and VT is highly contested. Hell, even those bracer guys in Umbral plains were permafarmed back on Fippy.

Depending on group make up I would think some of the easier tov dragons could be done with low numbers. Eashan, venom, telk ,gozz. Koi fesh and jorelag too if you can get help with aary.

This page has them somewhat sorted in difficulty by expansion

This trello page gives some info on fight mechanics and resists to use

Luclin fights are really a war of attrition, there's a big jump on mob HP, even on trash just clearing to the targets. Long fights, so you need to have a couple of warriors to rotate in on defensive disc, lots of clerics to share the healing in complete heal rotations and the more dps the better to reduce the length of the fights, melee is probably more preferable as some bosses can be highly spell resistant, but others have high AC and emp/seru require bane weapons so it's mixed bag.

As mythas says above, bigger force will get you further in ssra but you should also be looking at sleepers, vp, ToV (hot/ntov), kael etc as there are nice drops there that hold up well in luclin like silver bracelet of speed or silver charm of tranquility, robe of azure sky etc.

so this is what i went with for my 4 group makeup .

2 brd, 5 clr, 1 mag, 1 enc, 2 mnk, 1 nec, 2 rangers, 2 rog, 1 sk, 2 shm, 2 war, 2 wiz, 1 pal

going to see how i fair and possibly add another group. not sure what all velious / kunark i can do with that makeup. might be to heavy on healing but i didnt want that to be an issue

I love how bad the boxing disease is that this thread started as a question to what is 2 groupable in Luclin and the solution is to add more groups.

Hello, my name is Zarat and I'm a boxer.

I think the healing is fine, but you might be heavy on tanks. Probably going to get more mileage dropping sk and maybe a war for more dps. My feeling is the things you can box with low numbers you won’t need to tank swap on.

There's quite a few guilds that raid with their boxes, mine included. I think the suckiest thing to watch are the "raid sized boxes" that are, quite frankly. crap. My guild used to farm Doze, and we enjoyed watching people boxing 36+ wiping to trash (like total wipes, not just a few characters). The wipes were a combo of crap gear and poor time spent making their classes efficient.

There are a few very successful people boxing 36+, don't get me wrong, but it's also not the norm.

I personally think that 1-2 groups is most enjoyable, and then joining one of the many box army guilds. =) It lets you develop your characters versus just having 5 clerics.

Hello, my name is Zarat and I'm a boxer.

In our guild, this is how it starts.

What can I do with a couple boxes..... months later "what can I do with 18 versus 30"

Welcome to Rizlona. Punch bowl on the left... you are one of us.

The thing is, on most servers once you’re boxing 6 - as long as your PC can handle it is easy to add more if you’re even remotely involved in the server’s economy. Krono are just too easy to amass.

IV, EB, and Doomshade are likely the hardest. IV and EB you can summon tank with a bunch of prethreat since theyre rooted. Doomshade is unslowable and flurries but his actual melee dmg isn't crazy. I use a pause 40 on my ch chain which is maybe overkill.

Grieg would be difficult if you couldn't pull him down and dragon force him into a corner. When he does a fling my monks just end up infront of him and even snared only take a few seconds to get back to his back but never lose any melee time.

Grieg absolutely ate all of my dudes. I'm jealous haha. Positioning was the hardest part and keeping my tank in the corner. The AE wasn't great either. Any tips? I set up near the door to hide from the AE on casters but I still get moved around a lot.

Pull grieg down past the port up and corner him in the hallway outside the room to port upto. The long hallway. its like ~170units long. AE is like 130. Healers can be in the next room and the walls block the ae. Then use dragon force to really get him cornered. The fling is the direction grieg is facing so your tank and melee will basically end up in that corner. Use the map to keep your tank in the corner while blinded. Long fight, but once cornered tightly you basically cant die.

I created a very sophisticated image to show you how I do Grieg.

After clearing his room I put clerics behind the pillar as you see there, and casters right by the door in his room. I shoot an arrow at Grieg from the opposite side of the pillar from the clerics and run back to the corner. He will go that way without AEing anyone due to LoS. Once he gets around and starts attacking the tank send in a monk to Dragon Force it into the corner and it's as easy as that.
