Is there an easy way for me to change my pullerpet tank so that if the puller is pulling a mob within my melee distance the puller sics the pet on the mob but doesn't call the pet back and then reattack?

What? I have no idea what you are asking. Kiss 8 comes out in 3 days. PullerPetTank is much better.

Sounds like you're killing in a spot you're not KOS so you have roamer's that just come in close? The version with KA8 is said to be alot better, but i'd make sure the mage's set to assist at 100% but I'd assume it'd have to be will pullerpettank role.

I have the mage set at 100% and am definitely fighting in a KOS area. Just seems any time I leave the comp for 5 mins my mage pet pulls mobs right on top of my group and thats even with single pulls. Lets not even talk about mez breaks from my ench. I have melee distance at 200 on both mobs and velocity on the pet plus am not casting any dmg adsorbing spells that would make my pet run like a doofus. Not sure tried trouble shooting it, just hoping KA8 runs a bit smoother for me.

Ill try out hunter mode tomorrow though.

Kiss 8 is being released tomorrow. Extensive testing has gone in to the pet roles. hopefully that will clear up these issues.

Also keep in mind the following please . . . . . .

Where your pet physically engages/intercepts the pulled mob (in relation to your camp and campradius) is very subjective and dependant upon both the puller's (mage's) run speed back to camp.. as well as the Pet's run speed back to camp.

The faster you run.. and the faster your pet runs... the faster you will return to camp (with the mob not being right on your tail).
This allows for the pet to waitformob to break the plane of engagement ... and then go to intercept the mob BEFORE it gets too close to camp.

If you and/or your pet run too slow.. then you are not waiting for the mob to get to you and enagaging at the maximum distance.. but rather simply dealing with the mob wherever it happens to be "by the time you finish running back to camp".

If you can wrap your head around this concept.... then you are on the right track to perfect pet pulls.

We have done extensive testing on this.. and the only way your pet enagages the mob too close to camp... is if your campradius is set bad, or you and/or your pet return to camp too slow (slow movement speed) to engage/intercept the mob at the max distance from camp.

PullerPetTank is designed so that you and pet should be waiting at camp for the pulled mob to get close enough for the pet to intercept it away from the camp itself. If you and pet run too slow, you are merely "reacting" to where the mob is in relation to when you finally finished returning to camp. Instead of actually waiting for the mob and intercepting it before it gets that close.

Get fastest run speed on you and pet.. and maintain it! ( Pet run speed spell "Velocity" is a lifesaver for this !!!!!! )

I maintain PetBuff Velocity via the mage.. and maintain Flight of Eagles or some other movement buff on mage via another toon in group.

I have tried using both your and mendayens settings straight out of the box and have the same trouble.

My pet has velocity and my mage has FoE at all times. But maybe I have something else off. The way I interpret your post is that when my mage runs out and sicks faber on a mob then turns around and runs back to camp my pet is supposed to turn around and run back right away also? My mage is currently running back to camp turning around resetting himself then recalling my pet.

My mage is currently running back to camp turning around resetting himself then recalling my pet.

This is absolutely NOT the case ....

What version of KissAssist are you using ?

Pet returns to camp immediately as soon as the mob is aggroed. It NEVER waits for you to return to camp first before recalling the pet once a mob is agroed.

Just download 8.0 in a few hours and re-test.... but what you described is impossable under KissAssist 7.6.4 and higher.... pet gets recalled immedaiately as soon as mob is agroed... you and pet begin your return to camp at the same time.
