Problem - profiles/ patching

after patching i lost my profiles. is this normal ? am i doing something wrong ?
side note the characters ini files have also been reset

no it sounds like you possibly reinstalled mq2 to another location - is that possible?

negative it was working before the patch and now theyre gone

Losing stuff after an update is often the launcher changing your install folder, as Sic mentioned.

1. Check the settings tab in the launcher, is that the folder you're expecting?

2. Try running a file search across the whole drive for macroquest.ini or one of your toon's ini files. See if you find 2 copies.

Are the profiles missing from the MQ2 tray launcher?

there was 2 copies, there was a mq2 macros folder, and another macros folder inside the live subfolder in mq2
