Problem - Problem running kissassist or kiss11.mac

Having trouble running kissassist or kiss11. it just spams messages like the following. I have tried clean INIs so I don't think that is the issue. Did a new plugin become required or something?

I realize you said you don't think it's an ini issue, but I think you have an ini issue. Move all of your inis in the macro folder and run it to generate a new ini.

this is a hud issue
go to your mq2hud.ini in the release folder and turn of the huds for ihc and core.

if you need help with that, just post your mq2hud.ini here and we can fix it np.

I deleted the INI and the copies I kept from the macro folder and restarted and it just hung. I had to end task and was left with the following ini:

KissAssistVer=0.0

Saw kaen01's post and removed the following section

er nm misread the instructions will try again with explicit off switches

everytime I run /mac kiss11 it reverts though.

so doing /plugin mq2hud unload allowed it to work

is it possible to disable the mq2hud on just the char(s) that may run kiss in config?

So ihc installs a fancy hud, but if you run kiss you will not have the correct variables, so if you turned on the hud while ihc was running, and then switch to kiss you will be in mucho trouble.
now the mqhud.ini should have an entry like that for most you characters,, if you set last on your characters to show only elements, it will turn of the ihc hud things, open the file, edit it, save it, and the changed should be imediately.

to clarify, are you saying i should turn off hud completely if I use ihc for some chars and kiss for the rest?

no
last= is the list of hud pieces you use, elements is the default standard hud, normally kinda empty

for any character you dont use ihc on, make sure there is no ihc hud pieces on that line.
