Detailed Zone Annalisis:

XP: Rate of Experience in general.

Level of Detection: Player detection meter.

Travel: How to get to the zone (starting always from Plane of Knowledge).


The Glooming Deep - Starting Tutorial Zone, you will get a charm +5 to some stats and the xp is not bad. If you are being Plvled, i would just go to your Starting City, since your Plvl bot cant enter this zone for early Plvling.

XP: Pritty fast... besides... your level 1...

Travel: Once you create your character be sure to leave "Tutorial" enabled the first time you log in.

Field of Bone -

XP: Decent XP for the level.

Travel: PoK > Field of Bone


Paludal Caverns - I Recommend you group/solo in Paludal Cavers. This is by far the biggest XP zone from lvl 4-25. Bard Macro here is NOT RECOMMENDED, however you can do mushrooms from 4-12, fiends around 12-18 and 18-25 bandits. (Depending on gear or Plvler).

XP: Xtreme XP! You will level fast here even in a gimp group!

Travel: PoK > Nexus > Shadow Haven > Paludal Caverns


Marus Seru - Virturally Anywhere in this zone (away from guards) you can setup your macro. I would recommend to do it at some random location in the middle of the map so there is less of a chance for others to bump into your afk bard.

XP: Should be great exp. (Bonus)

Level of Detection: Low

Travel: PoK > Nexus > Netherbian Lair > Marus Seru


Great Divine - I recommend to grab atleast 2 wolf trackers (guards) and 2 wolves and run them just South West of Thurgadin Zone. There will always be wolves and guards aggroing you from wandering your way and you are well hidden from player paths.

XP: Moderate, might have to do this a few nights, but its safe and works well.

Level of Detection: Very Low

Travel: PoK > Great Divine


Jagged Pine Forrest - Poachers. At the Poacher Camp (far East of the zone) I recommend you start your circle at 65, running around the campfire. I found it easy to start on the North side of the campfire heading East and running through the Noth Tent's Rope (that "holds the tent down). I have had 3 people total pass by and see me... All 3 were macro users.

XP: This exp is great from 40-51, at lvl 51 it will slow down dramatically.

Level of Detection: Very Low

Travel: PoK > Qeynos > Qeynos Hills > BlackBurrow > Jagged Pine Forrest


Dulak's Harbor - The wide opening after the entrance from Gunthak, and for a little higher level, near the boats 3,4, and 5.

XP: Medium Low

Level of Detection: N/A

Travel: PoK > Paineel (Toxxulia Forrest) > Paineel > Warrens > Gunthak >Dulaks Harbor


Nadox - Head with invis towards Hatesfury. Just before the zone there is a branchoff to the left (as your headed to Hatesfury) with 2-3 or so trolls in each corner. Start your circle at 65 there, its a safe and great xp camp to macro.

XP: N/A

Level of Detection: Low

Travel: PoK > Paineel (Toxxulia Forrest) > Paineel > Warrens > Gunthak >Nadox

Note: Selos will not work in this zone.(Indoor) Must have Innate Runspeed 3


Plane of Valor - Coming soon

XP: Moderate/Good - Red Cons at 55, slow kills but lots of XP/kill

Level of Detection: Low (Populated Zone however, location is in the middle of nowhere, lots of KOS mobs around to keep you bussy and others away.

Travel: PoK > PoTranquility > Plane of Valor


Halls of Honor - NE, NW, SW corners work good, only problem w/ red room (NE) is when the big boss is up it might attract people for raid, besides that its the best place that i know of.

XP: Decent/Good

Level of Detection: Low

Travel: PoK > PoTranquility > Halls of Honor

anyone have info on PON location circle radius need something to get me to POV zone access or to 62. I am 54-55 now doing the slow Harbor Mine Square room.


its like 2 kills per 1 percent exp it seems
 
I will get on right now and check for you, but its on the S of the zone. by the wall, just start circle there, they dont summon/castspells/anything besides run behind you like little idiots. I'll get the details on it asap.
 
You can enter POV/POS at level 55. It's HoH and BoT you can't enter until flagged or 62.

Im going to macro them as we speak, so i'll give a few updates as i go.
 
Still keep deing every 15-20 minutes into macro at PoNightmare, might look into diff spots for this.

Also, if you have the no-summon offset, Chardok B (not chardok, but it is connected) is almost paradise for levels 53 - 67.

The zone was originally designed to be around for a month or two, but for some reason it's still here. I honestly think they forgot to remove it.

100% of the mobs are warriors - meaning it's perfect for bard kiting.

NOBODY EVER, AND I MEAN EVER, GOES IN THIS ZONE. I've never seen anyone besides myself in or around this zone, as most players don't even know it exists.

The catch? This bad boy:

Will spawn randomly throughout the zone. He summons and hits hard. Horrible for kiters.

However, when I did AFK kiting here it was before I had the No Summon offset at my disposal. Now that we have no-summon, it might be the perfect spot.

Redbot, only that boss summons right? all the other npcs will not? B/c i cant find the up-to-date nosummon, if you could throw me a link or quote i would appresheate it and i can add it on the top.
 
nosummon offset seems to be nerfed again. IF it returns, I'll let you know.

Too bad too, you could powerlevel an entire guild to lvl 67 there with 1 bard - and never have to restart the macro except when they patch.
 
I have a question about HoH.. Been wanting to grind there with my bard, but cannot find a decent spot~A location would be GREAT..

Personally I have been stuck in PoV, Vassal Camp, getting only 6% AA per 6min kill. The place is great for AFK'n away as no one ever goes to the vassals, and I haven't encountered one of those nasty summon'n mobs to this date!
 
i personally used this loc for /circle in hoh. takes you close enough to mobs to aggro them even if you don't stay in range long enough to land spells.
/circle on 110 1382.46 1215.35
 
Jury rigged nosummon (needs to be wrote)

Have a plugin keep your loc in the memory at all times and when you are summoned have it freeze that loc and right after that have it /warp loc (the loc in the memory)
You will probly have to pause the macro for like a millasecond or w/e

For solo'n in ChardokB, couldn't we just make a simple write in, if target equals Rabid Chok then find new target.. if we don't damage, he cant summon
 
Sounds like a good idea, but if he is in range for DD, i think he will just aggro you... Im not sure though =/
 
Sorry fellas, i have been having some RL issues that required my full attention so i was not able to update or even bard macro for the past 5 days or so. I will hopefully start updating and such on Monday, sorry for the wait :(

only problem with doing this is you will still get that 1 round off because the client will report to the server that it agrees you have been summoned. thats what we're trying to avoid.
 
Really? I was lookin forward to finding a replacement to Nadox. While PL'n an alt I am only gettin 3%exp an hour runnin around the fire. Wish i could find a way to drop the mobs faster (lvl56 btw, alts are each in their 40's) Using crummy gear, but do have a Karana drum. /shrug
 
what i would like to see added to this guide to make it much better would be if the locations were updated with circle radius list of recommended gear the twist layouts used. and also locs of the perfect spot to start the circle at. with that added on you would have a very solid guide. And keep up the good work.
 
Well here is my start. I use slightly different locations than those posted.

My Vxed starting loc is 125, -300, 447
The circle radius is 73
Facing East

I use the MQ2Twist plugin to handle my twisting. Currently using Selos, 4 dots and Marr as the twist. Before running the program I type /twist adjust 3. This refreshes Selos 3 ticks early so you don't get that awful bug where it refreshes just as it leaves.

As per gear, you will need at least 4k hps, a string mod and a good pair of drums. Any less than this and you risk being one rounded by the pops. Also, make sure you are running the nostun offest with MQ2DoCrack as found on these forums.
 
I'll be updating the zone exp as i personally exp them, but feedback would be very nice, i'm changing xp on chardokb, but from what iv heard, its awsome there... what lvl are you?
 
Me? I should ding 58 sometime today. Running the program bout 18 hr/day atm. Like I said things go a little slower when grouped with an alt, but 35/hr is painfully slow imo.
 
How long did that take? (trying to calc AA xp ding per hour would be cool, then we can base how good camps are off Dings per 12 hours or 6 hours etc.
 
Each one was about a 6min fight, which is the same amount of time it take to kite down something in HoH

If you are 55+ I reccomend Vassal Camp in PoV, at 62 I get 6% an aa, at a 4min kite.
 
Hey Ham, do you have a starting loc for PoV (and which direction you face when ya start), and do you know if there is a safe place for an alt there. Lastly, I am assuming that summoning is not an issue there? Thx
 
I'll take a look tonight at the locs.. used to have them down to memory, but its been some time since i've been in PoV..

And yes, there is a place to park those little alts
Summoning is not an issue
And you will never run out of mobs

The only thing I reccomend is a good regen and /docrack nostun on, cause those vassals appear out of nowhere!!!!!!~

I have yet to die there, and even on LDs' I end up alive.
 
Very Nice, can you supply us w/loc/circle/direction by anychance? XP sounds sweet.

Btw, anyone having troubles logging in after server select? It keeps kicking me out when i click play (and takes me back to server screen) telling me the server is updating-try again later etc. Anyone else get this msg?
 
There was a small update yesterday. Did you run the patcher?

I think what people are forgetting here is that there something even more important than exp/hr and that is detectability. The reason Chardok B is good is because the exp comes in at a decent rate and your chances of getting detected are very low.

As per the HoH question. You can leave invis song playing and play around with the different circle sizes until you get it down perfectly. I found the red room (the room at the very north that looks red on the map) was the best spot to AFK exp. If you are doing the HoH macro I highly suggest you add player detection code, which I'm pretty sure has been posted here somewhere.

If you play on Zek that makes things a bit more tricky. For instance, with my Vxed macro, if I last the entire 6 hours (about a 50% chance of that), I will get booted outside and attempt to camp. But if there are players out there they can interupt my camping by attacking me and I will just stand there forever. I have considered using the quick camp offset, or the built in MQ2 one but I understand that it is fairly detectable.

If you are 60+ and have good gear I do suggest using Vxed. The exp is really decent, I average a little over 100 AAs per week just running the macro when I go to bed, and when I leave for work. Infact, I now have so many AA's that I've been buying the stupid things like packrat and extended lung capacity.
 
Doh the patcher... Duh, im so stupid at times... lol Yea i run WinEQ so patcher dosent run by itself, i need to run that and then WinEQ... Thanks lol

Btw... the AAs deal is awsome, Im so glad MQ2 and this site exists... And if they (Sony) banned my accnt... id buy another :p , XP is fast w/ this method hehe...
 
Ok, heres some goodies on PoV 'Vassal Camp'..

Starting location: -933, 805, 47, facing NE is Camp
Circle: -907.9 723 || Radius: 70
Directions to your camp: Head towards the water near outer/razorfiend camp. Once you have reached this point start heading down the water, you will see a undead squire(don't worry he is indifferent) and a large rock.. Here you will be able to see your camp.

You can park your alts a few meters outside your cirlce without adds, I personally would park em on the rock.. nothing wanders outside the cirlce near the water..

Something is going wrong.

I have 7.1k hp unbuffed. I'm level 70. I have 1.8string mod from rizlona's.

I use siddins part of the target macro so that it succors me whenever I get below 20%. My twist is #1-chorus of marr, #2-dot, #3-dot, #4-dot, #5-dot, #6- selo's. After I get about 2 aa's, the creque is spawning and i'm getting beat down below 20% where I end up checking later to see I'm sitting at the zone in running into a wall cause it succored.

I've heard all these success stories, but I've yet to see it come true. I do not have an uber string mod, but I'd like to think that my high hp would make up for it. I am not attacking the creque because I've checked the logs and I never got summoned, not to mention when I come back I am still targetted on the last mob I was chanting down.


I tried this 2 consecutive times and the same thing happened both times. The creque spawns and I get hit by a non-creque mob then the creque proceeds to beat me down until the macro succors. Happened the exact same way both times.

Any idea on loc of spot you kited or description on the map? I like the look of this zone, but its dangerous :)
