Plvling Zones lvl 1-70 (BARD MACRO)+(PLVLING)

Iv been in Marus Seru at lvl 28... using nostun and still dieing every half hour.. any suggestions on a better place at this lvl where not alot of people will be? or even a suggestion on how not to die lol

Im not so sure... every time i turn away for a bit i die... i twist Selos, Brusco's, Bruscos, Brusco's... /circle on 75... was having problems gettin hit when one added and it would stun me so i added /docrack nostun2 on and then /mac target all im doing dunno what the problem is

Actually loseing exp almost lvl 27 again lol

Try to watch it and see exactly what the cause is.

It could be nostun not working, which is my initial guess.

Or, it could be that adds are slowly killing you down as they hit you once or twice before you outrun them, seeing as that area tends to bring a ton of adds over time. This might be a better guess since you say it runs fine for about 30 minutes.

Whatever it is, once we find out exactly what the cause is, we can try to find a solution.

ill try to look into it more tonite after work.. i may try to see if i can find a cheap striped down bard in the 50's plus later and buy it when i get paid... It seemed like the nostun was working from what i saw when i was paying attention

I don't know exactly how nostun works, but I had problems with it in the past. What it would do is keep the client running, but I was actually stunned and as soon as the stun came undone, the server would catch up with where I was. The problem with that is you can think you're not stunned and running, but you're actually getting hit and killed. If you ever die really quickly after you get stunned with nostun on, that's probably why.

It wasn't a constant "glitch", but it happened often enough for me to notice.

After your stunned the actual location of your character is controlled serverside until the stun wears off. So even if the client is running and you're out of range of the mobs, serverside you are still where you got stunned and the mobs are beating you down. Really the only way to get out of it without warp is call of the hero or something similar.

i think its possible i was running in like a sky view and so many movs in marus seru it started to make me lag after soooo many adds... perhaps that could have been the cause, i am going to test in 1st person mode for a few hours

Maryburyisgod was having some lag issues that caused problems with his /circle. This was remedied once he moved to first person and looked down at the ground to reduce lag. Just a thought from reading your above statement. You may be on the right track.

ill try this for a few hours with out switching out to here or msn messenger lol *looks for something els to do while i try this*

didnt seem to work... only managed to kill 2 things before i died.... any one know of any other zones a lvl 28 could do? perhaps i will just activate my druid account andf pl a bard on that server past the marus seru lv and try another location

You could check out blightfire. The bees area might be a good spot to circle kite at. It's near the zoneline to the beehive zone, I can't remember the name.

Are you alt-tabbing away from EQ or watching it the ENTIRE time?

I know when i'm circle kiting and if i alt-tab to check on something i usually come back to being hit. Like i ran into a wall or something but soon as i alt-tab back to EQ it sets my circle back up and continues running.

i alt-tab once in awhile... but usually of as far as that goes... its when eq is only thing open andd i actually leave i die,,,

I'm finding jaggedpine forest to be a really hard place to kite, constantly getting cannot see target when running behind the rock or tree.

Nvm, got it working with a smaller radius, i've yet to get out of LoS, and am getting safe fall up by running over the rock, exp is about 1 % a kill at low 40's

I have been trying to circle and kite bears in Icefall but keep dieing. At first I though it was because I was sliding some as I could see that on the map. So I tried levi but I am still dieing. I tried all different sizes of circles but the bears keep killing me. I can get the circle going just fine without being hit. Some time I could go an hour before dieing but it never fails I always die.

I use my SK to bring me victims btw and I can drop them on him without dieing. It always seems to happen later in the kite. I twist selo's and have levi up but I just don't know what else to do.

I can twist in RCoD for days no dieing but somehow the bears are either catching up to me or reaching me with hits. Any suggestions?

*Edit - I think it was just lag. I am now only running 2 instances of EQ instead of 3 and haven't died in a few hours.

I have had that happen in some cases in the past. It ended up being a pathing bug. The mob sorta warps and hits you, but you really can't see it. If it is a quad hit, chances are.. dead. Have you tried this in a different part of the zone? Sometimes, but not always, I could avoid it by simply moving to a diferent quadrent in the zone.

I've been running my macro all this past week, and I ran it from 50-55 in Plane of Nightmare, which if I could get it to run flawlessly there without hangups, I would have been able to do those levels in a day and a half probably. Then I went to Valor at 55, slows seemed slow, but then again so are those levels. Once I hit 60, the exp in Valor flew, and I am still there closing in on 64. I tried Halls of Honor but there seem to be too many roamers who summon. So all in all, I am going to need a new camp site other than HoH, cause another problem is the non KoS mobs, those are easier cause they add themselves.

If you have elemental access, pofire in the forest is good at 64. If you don't, go to HoH, go to one of the basement rooms where there's only the guards on the sides that don't summon. Make your circle big enough to radius aggro all of them and you're set.

Darkeros is correct on his suggestion of HoH. I did this for my bard very successfully but actually did it from 62-65. From that point on it was Vxxed all the way. You can actually still do Vxxed it just requires you run up, fade at the gates and hit DA when going into the kite room and setting up your circle manually. More envolved obviously than letting warp do it for you, but certainly safer.

A Valiant Spirit

Level 62 Mob

Summoned and killed me in HoH. It was in the basement room, HoH isn't a hot place to solo. Where is a good place for 64?

I'll head back to PoNightmare for the time being. Cause the exp there is still decent. I can get about a level per day.

Halls of Honor, basement, stay away from the spirits. top right (or left, haven't been there in a LONG time) there are 6 mobs to chant down and its a good place to solo. I did it from the moment I could get into HoH till 65 or 70 I think.

Yeah, there are 4(I think?) different basements in HoH. They're in the 4 corners of the map.

If I remember correctly, the best one was directly south of the zone-in area, on the map. Try there, and go into the middle room...not the first room you see when you go down the basement stairs, but the next one.

Talking of Vxed I used to LOVE kiteing all day there. What I am woundering is since there is the name that spawns, do you guys setup your target mac to just not target that NPC? I used to run and sometimes that name would spawn 2 kills into the mission. I just couldnt see the effort to do vxed if I had to keep dropen missions and actully running back up there.

The macro I have posted back on page 22 uses the following....

Rich (BB code):
sub event_GainExp
/stoptwist
/tar npc next
/delay 10
/IF (${Target.Name.Equal[misguided beludu Creque]}) {
/target npc next
/delay 30

This will stop the twisting, target next npc, make sure it's not the summoning named and then if not continue twisting. It's about as fail safe as I can figure it.

You will want to add several other mobs to that list. I can't remember the names, but it's the big blue golem guys and some other mob. They very rarely come up there, but I have seen them, on occasion, walk all the way into the room past the door, then walk out.

Just keep an eye out and your logs turned on. If you die, check your logs and see if you got summoned. If you did, add that mob to the list.
