I have gotten a lot of really great help getting kiss up and running, so I just wanted to give back a bit. I have been camping in Plane of Shadows and have had a lot of success at my camp spot. Everything in this camp spot is single pulls, you can avoid the nearby named mob, and I have yet to run out of pulls. All the mobs you will be fighting are lvl 101 so it makes for a pretty good 96/97+ grind to 100. As a general disclaimer it is a pretty tough spot to get to. I run a mage, ench druid team and I usually kill the mage and ench set my druid to /corpsedrag both of them, then buff up and bum rush all the see invis mobs and fade at the top. But to each his/her own. Also, I have only seen someone else in this camp once.

The camp spot is a big open room with a bunch of corrupted Ahkevans sparring with a defender of Lucin's. If you only pull the Ahkevans the defenders will not add, so set up your Kissinfo as. I setup my pull distance as 450 and it seems to keep my group pretty busy, but I am sure you could adjust that depending on your groups dps. Also, avoid AE spells so you don't agro any defenders of luclin.

Rich (BB code):
MezImmune=a defender of Luclin
MobsToPull=a corrupted Akhevan
MobsToIgnore=Zentha Lor Thall, Volx Xi Xakra, a defender of Luclin
MobsToBurn=List up to 10 mobs. Use full names i.e. Beget Cube,Helias,Raze or NULL

I added the defenders of luclin to the mez immune just because some of them are close to the camp spot and they kept triggering an adds in camp, this way my ench didn't randomly train my group.

Good luck. I attached a few photos hopefully they show up correctly.

Thanks again to the red guides community for all your help.

I have run my mage as pullerpettank out in the field area with good luck. Mostly pulling bats (which are not social and are indifferent) and stone golems. Park yourself on the pink circle in the SW part of the zone.

Looking forward to trying your other spot!

Yeah it's tricky to get to. Used to kite in there a lot with my Druid. To me it's part of the appeal though. High con mobs. Little interference with names and basically no other player traffic. Plus single pulls every time. I have had a lot of luck just using spirit of cheetah and /corpsedrag, tugging my alts corpses up to the top. Seen bards with fade song running up there with no troubles also.

the "a corrupted Akhevan" see through invis and IVU. i just set up my group as a dungeon crawl group and fought my way there, once inside the big room its cake.

Ok after a few days of roaming this zone and taking a few trips up to the camp spot, I thought I'd share a few more screen shots and how to get upstairs to your camp spot.

All you need is IVU from the stairs to where the red line ends. Go in the front stairs and follow the red line to where it ends. If you remove layers from your map, you will see a blue path leading to the smaller round room along the red line path.

Note: When you get into the first round room, you will turn right and go up the ramp. At the top of the ramp, turn left and take the next ramp up. At the top of that ramp, you will go left until you see the door on the right. right before you get to the little diamond on the map (north most) there are two "a corrupted Akhevan" that see all invis. Kill them and then invis (regular invis) before you enter the room. There are several "a living essence of shadow" that do not see regular invis, and you can run past them. If you are not invised they aggro at odd times. They do not move, but if you do any damage to them they will summon you. (You can memblur them if you need) I just invis past them and kill all the Akhevan's as I work my way up the ramp. I believe I counted 11 of them along the way.

The map above notes "Last of the see invis before room" so from here you can just invis and run into the larger circle room where you'll move to camp. See image here:

As you enter the large circle room, turn off your height filter on your map so that it looks like the above. Note that the yellow dots on the map are see-invis mobs. I was able to safely run past from north to south counter-clockwise by avoiding the mobs. The green on the above map is where I have camped. I set my campfire up just where toots put on his map. I found that if I camped right on the circle (near the white dot on my map) I would miss pulling the mobs behind that circle.

Hope this helps someone else! :)

All the collectibles sell for 5-10k per on my server and the rare Luclin's shard even more. But you have to have enough people on the server for the collectible demand.

This location is incredible... Great exp per kill, no adds, and tough to access... Highly recommend.

Tested Worlu's Windcloak and unfortunately it does not work. Thank you for posting this spot.

Thought I would share something I have been using to get back to this spot more easily. Once I get to the spot I had 3 characters I don't really use in my fellowship campfire to this spot. That way whenever I need to get back I can simply log them in, make a campfire, and campfire back with my regular box crew.

Been using this strat for a long time, extra helpful in this spot.

I just power leveled a mage and camped it there. :) They get coh at 55.

Also the reason the named is difficult is that she casts a spell that stalls your casting. Hurts heals quite a bit. I think it is an AE effect so stand back and you may not get hit with it. I can duo her with 100 Mage and Enc with cleric/wiz merc. She's worth killing because she drops glowing dreadmotes.

I couldn't figure out how to get past the first see invis sets of mobs. 3 guys at once wouldn't be a problem, three guys on different floors with LOS issues and summoning was trouble :/

I supposed if I wasn't so dependent on watching kiss play for me I'd figure out how to pull like a legit gamer :P

Any other tips for a noob?

The first set of SI's at which spot? I believe there are some you can Ivu past and others that see all invis. If you got it by the ghosts, you need IVU.

My necromancer is nearly maxxed AA and will likely be dropped from my group soon. If there is a character/strat you have in mind, just let me know :)

I've attached a pic of the room I'm having trouble getting past. In the actual room at the base of the stairs.

Oh yeah that can be tricky. Fight the Akhevas at the door without going through it. Don't back up too far or you aggro the ghosts. When the akhevas are dead invis and go up until you run into the next to. There should be a flat platform before each akheva going up. Watch the roamers.

anyone mind sharing what pull range you use? I seem to aggro named by pulling mobs behind it...

I specifically leveled a rogue and mage to drag and coh to this spot but I am finding that the stair area before the last corridor has corrupted akhevans that see through Shroud of Stealth. Is that right or am I doing something wrong on the rogue. He is only lvl 63.

It's so simple but so smart, thank you

I use this tactic all the time... I've also been using heroic wizards with various bind points to port my main teams. I use one to port my team right to the boat dock heading to Thal Island, right to my spot in The Grounds, etc. I camp mages (easy to PL a mage up to level that can CoTH) in camp spots, etc. There are lots of ways to skin that cat.

My next project is to take ONE account, fill it with mages PL'd to CoTH level, put a bunch of pearls on them, and camp them all over Norrath.

Shadows still a good spot for 105 afk aas? Preferably looking for an instance, but this zone is less travelled

I was in Shadow killing names and saw an afk group there... 105s annihillating everything in range. They looked like they were having fun. Everything is DB to 105, so the exp could be reasonable.

Thanks for the response. Testing it now - seems to be only 11% or so aaxp per kill, so not that great

I would take that 11%, as its relatively out of the way, and at least over this weekend there is likely to be an exp boost... I personally would go for slow safe exp, rather than fast risky. But that's just me.

Big ol' sceerdy cat. Took me 2 years to actually decide to use mq2.
