Not sure what is going on, but sometimes my pets just plain give up defending me while I sit there taking a beating.
This is without kissassist running and just with MQ2 running in the background.
Is there something that might interfere somehow?

For those wondering, I think I found the issue. Although it's not actually written in the standard mq2melee, if you use mq2melee without a profile it sets /petassist=1 by default.
/melee save
edit file to change /petassist=0
All was well
