Problem - Pet Toys - requesting on a different character

Hi

I have a question about the pet toys feature. I have it working on my mage who is summoning pet and giving it items without issue. The problem is requesting on another character. This is the mq2bcs command I am trying to use to do this : /bct Mymage //pettoysplz Enchanterpetname. I have also tried with just one / rather than // however neither work. I see the request on my mage in the mq2 window but she just does nothing

Any assistance appreciated as always :p

I'm looking at the code... all is correct... you are doing it correct as well..

Lemme test it out in game right now...... I doubt we broke it.. we never touched the code for that section.

It is working fine....

Your mage does have a free inventory slot available ... to summon the bag.. open it.. into a satchel.. correct ?

You see the command.. but is it the MQ2EQBCS command only.. or is there ANY feedback / message from the mage using kissassist.. showing that kissassist on the mage detected the bct command...

If you are not seeing KissAssist on the mage respond with a feedback of:

PetToysPlease [ENchanterPetName]



then that indicates a bigger issue.

Also updating to kissassist v10 went badly for me i had to totally reinstall mq2 because I was getting nothing but errors... my pc isnt terrible either.

Yet mq2 was throwing error after error. Redownloaded EQ MQ2 and so on and started over but kind of scared to try kiss 10 again after that (though I know its probably not kiss' fault lol.

Mage doesn't even try to summon any (for the enchanter) so no it doesn't get to the point of giving the items to the pet as I said I have no issues using it to give my mages pet items so, this is why I am asking

The image i posted above is the extent of what I see on my mage nothing after that I just cut the top of the mq2 window off as I dont think you need to see that 3x to see it.

On the issue of Kiss 10 blowing your system up with error messages... all i can say is.. ( SOrry ?? ) ..

If you were on 9.2.4 .. and running kiss... then you definately had to have run the macro to clean your aliases up after the bind conversion we did... so there would have been no impact updating to kiss 10 in regards to that causing the error storm.

There is no need to re-install EQ ... but never a bad idea to re-install MQ2 every now and then if you start getting freaky errors and stuff blowing up on ya in MQ2.

99% of the time its a bad ini file... that causes issues... either an ini file for a supported MQ2 plugin.. or a macro ini / inc

I actually tested the function by loading my 105 mage and 105 enchanter ....

Had them both running kiss10 ... assisting eachother... so kiss just running but no one doing anything but their buffs.....

Issued command in MQ2Chat window: /bct [MyMageName] //pettoysplz scarecrow

Where scarecrow is the enchanter's perm name changed pet.

You saw the output .... mage received the TELL ... via MQ2EQBCS, responded with output in the window... and proceeded to load spell/cast it... drop in open inv slot/open bag to satchel/open satchel/give toys.. cleanup.

SO i can definately attest that there is nothing wrong on on the procedure side.

Let me know how things go after your clean install.... i know peopel forget a million things to put back / configure.. to get up and running again after these things,..

Might be an issue trying to give a chanter pet weapons? I thought they already had weapons, but just an observation.

Oh don't get me wrong, I wasn't insinuating it was kisses fault but yes just happened at the same time. I came to eq1 from eq2 where I use ogrebot to bot with which had a gui being written to use innerspace so using kiss has been an experience (not a bad one I have no complaints) kind of reminds me of learning how to use html to design websites back in 96 or 97.

Yes I do see the tell received, but it was under my bad edit of the screenshot to hide my characters name. I'll again with kiss10 and hope things go better.

And for cannonball Yes they have "weapons" but without mage toys they do not do much damage at all. Even with its still not great but it all helps.
