Question - Per Character Window Settings?

Is it possible to set per character window size and position using a macro or plugin. Is there already one? The only workaround I've found is to save copies of my UI files and append "_custom" to the end. Then I try and set my windows back to where they were last time (roughly, not exactly) and then load the custom UI files to put all the GUI widgets back in to sane places.

Any ideas?

Windows settings are set in your ui files.
Which windows are you talking about exactly? the plugins windows?
If you are talking about the cwtn plugins for exemple, you need to close the plugin window to save position and size and then re open it with the "/" command.

I meant the EQ ini I guess. It is the main game window as well as some of the options, like game volume. They seem to be shared the next time I start up.

ISBOXER allows you to have different "virtual" ini for each toon. Nothing that I found in MQ2 does the same thing.

I think you have to use isboxer or do separate installs, so that you can set up separate Everquest.ini s or whatever the file is called

the eqclient.ini file is likely the file your talking about.
you can run with multiple installs of EQ, or as mentioned above Denethors guide works and is kinda neat (makes computer think it has multiple installs).
there are 2 programs i know of that will handle different eqclient ini files from one eq install, and they both come from lavishsoft. isboxer (as mentioned above)works great. and there is also WinEQ2.

im currently running with WinEQ2 so that i can use multiple eqclient ini files (high graphics on my main toon, far clip plane / particle effects for my puller, and bare minimal settings for any other toon).

Isboxer and WinEQ2 also both allow you to set custom keys for switching to a specific instance of EQ (as does the MQ profile system). Isboxer also allows key broadcasting (which is rather nice for some things).
edit, forgot to mention, ive been using Isboxer or WinEQ2 and other eq stuff from them since around 2000, really good software and highly recommend isboxer!
