Hi all,

I have a SK/Shaman/Mage rn, feel like my dps is too slow so going to add 3 more, looking for suggestions on what to add.

Thanks for your time.

Depends on your level and server type (live/tlp/emu.).

Enchanters are more reliable CC until bards get their AoE mez (in the 80s?).

Clerics are more reliable healers during the mid-game (~70-100).

Any dps work completely fine for the other spots. It's really just personal preference.

Bst, bard, wiz
Thank you for response!

Firiona Vie on Live, lvl 100+.

I recommend the bard, like everyone else said, and then maybe consider a rogue for shenanigans with shinies and dragging a mage corpse around if needed.

Otherwise, beast seems pretty reasonable, so does wizard. One has excellent synergy and one just, well, kind of blows things up, so that's cool too.

bst/bard/ thrid spot in order of personal preference Rog/Zerk/Ranger/Monk
Thank you for response!
Yeah, for that level I agree with everyone else. BST, BRD and whatever you want for the last spot.

It is often the case that my main group ends up SK/SHM/BRD/BST/ROG/MAG. You can crush anything with that group.

What are shinies?
Wiz, Wiz, Wiz & nuke em down!
💥💥💥 I thought wiz dmg was not good in current meta?
If you lean melee, rng, rouge, bard

If you lean caster, ench, wiz, and another mage.
Question for you and other Rog proposals above, how do you manage getting melee chars in range to hit things while boxing? With casters I have them all standing a distance away and have all skills bound to the same button, but for melee do you just tab and walk them up or is there some secret sauce?
I say try different combos and find out what you enjoy. Thats the most important thing is enjoy what you are doing.
Thanks!

It depends on what you are trying to do. Do you want a swiss army knife group or a pet group or caster group or melee group?

One thing to reference is synergies: https://www.redguides.com/community/threads/synergy.72117/. Synergies are AA lines that help the group.

For example my original group:

First was a BST. Then came a CLE so it could heal my ass during raids in POP. Then a DRU because I wanted travel. After this it was an SK because I wanted a better driver. Last came ROG and BRD. ROG so I could run around zones without bothering anyone picking up shinies (collectables). and BRD for the speed and aDPS.

collection items and dragging a mage corpse to rez him to get a coth is what i was refedrring to.

As far as managing characters, I would venture that the majority of us are using MQ to do so. Its possible otherwise, but I haven't done it in so many years that I'll leave it to others that are.

I am 100% using MQ and various automations for all characters.

If you want to go down that route, you're in the right place already.

If not, you could just add more mages. They are still really good dps and you can keep doing what you're already doing.

There are some people that manually box melee toons, but it's not for me.

It all really comes down to whatever you want to play. Just add a BRD and whatever. I prefer NEC and whatever for 6th slot.

It depends on what automation you are running. If you are not running automation then i would stick with caster. You CAN make 6 boxing with melee work without automation, but it is a struggle.

I still feel ENC is the way to go for a Caster group.
So I would GO ENC\WIZ\ and either another MAG or another WIZ..or go crazy and go and Necro as the last.

to be fair - I dont think you need to Min/Max everything these days. It all works.
Go for what gives you the most enjoyment.

2 or 3 Mages are fantastic in a grp....2 or 3 Wizards in a grp are great too.

SK/SHM/ENC/MAG/MAG/MAG (Gives you 4 Tanks total)
SK/SHM/ENC/MAG/MAG/WIZ - Can port about too..Not so useful these days.
SK/SHM/ENC/MAG/WIZ/NEC - Nukes and DOTS and Pets = More fun

Wanted to thank everyone again.

I've switched to using MQ and went with BST/BRD/ROG, appreciate you all. My whole gaming experience just got so much better.

Your core is great. I run SK, BRD, MAG, SHM, WIZ, BER on my normal main group.

I run 12 accounts though and mix match but the SK, SHM, BRD and MAG are my top guys in my main group always.

I am outfitting a ROG to see if swapping out the BER is a good idea. BER does great DPS but is so limited everywhere else.

Bard you gotta have a Bard, BeastLord and Necro roll with 3 pet classes. Plus you have an extra rezzer in a pinch. I run the same group but Pally instead of SK it's a good group.

If you want faster kills add 2Beserkers and a bard. Honestly to me Bards are the best utility in the game.

I see you have already noted you selected ROG/BST/BRD - solid choice.

Few folks have suggested a Wizard and/or Berserker, both are great choices in my experience. I’d vote for a Wizard in your setup, as it might provide more benefit than a Beastlord (especially since you have a Shaman already).

Berserker synergy will help boost your SK + pet, Shaman Pet, and Mage Pet DPS (Rouge Synergy should also have this impact).

Wizard synergy will help your groups direct damage and DoT DPS - also my Wizard consistently tops my Zerker in DPS (and the Zerker has better gear). Plus ports are super useful for moving 6 toons. My Wizard consistently outputs 600k - 800k DPS on non-burn fights (using MuleAssist)

Bard can round things out nicely and compliment both your melee and casters. I have an Enchanter instead, but if I redid my group composition today, I’d probably go Bard.

I run a SK, Cleric, Enchanter, Mage, Wizard, and Berserker. All are a few expansions behind (125 and mostly CoV T3 gear still).

Wizard and Berserker are consistently my top two DPS producers, but Wizard for sure does more and is easier to maintain.

Try a bst, brd and another mage thats a lot of dps and also u can move fast too using 2 coth

If it were me, I’d probably go with one of these:

Bard / Berserker / Mage

Bard is an insane force multiplier and boosts pretty much everyone’s DPS.
Berserker brings excellent sustained melee damage.
Another Mage is easy to box, adds solid DPS, and another pet never hurts.

Bard / Rogue / Rogue

If your SK can hold aggro consistently, two Rogues absolutely pump once they’re behind the mob.
The Bard buffs make a huge difference for melee, and Rogues are pretty low maintenance once everything is set up.

Bard / Rogue / Mage

Kind of the best of both worlds. You get strong melee DPS from the Rogue, consistent caster DPS from the Mage, and the Bard ties it all together.

Honestly, I don’t think I’d build a 6-box group without a Bard. The ADPS, pulling, overhaste, and utility are just too good to pass up

Great 3 Box for starters, SK & Shaman pair perfectly together and Mage brings all the fire. My personal 6 box for the most fun in SoR is as follows... SK, Shaman, Mage, Bard, Berserker, Ranger... Between all of them the SK is rocking a 1mil to 1.5mil Damage Shield and all stat buffs are covered. Running with everyone doing custom rotations via RGMercs LUAs, The Tank is the only one controlled manually while the party blows stuff up :)

Edit: Be sure to make an audio-trigger for Voice of Thule fading off of your SK, otherwise the zerker and mage pet will take agro on burns.

Here is what cha need to do

1. Figure out your play style. Do you want to kill every thing in sight? Do you want to do all the quests? Do you like pets? Do you want to go to new places and areas and live through what you fine? These are some of the things you need to consider when you put together a group of 6.

2. (got to have a 2 if you got a 1) I like to play with a group of pets. SK, En, (either druid or shaman) necro, necro, mage. This is mostly to do quest.

3. For raids and farming I have a group of Warrior, Cleric, Enchanter, Rogue, Berserker, Beastlord. So far this group works well together.

But it really comes down to what toons you like to play, what you want to do and mostly just having fun do it.
