So, most of us have reasons we cant play around certain people or B we cant play at work using the normal client.
would there be a way to make a plugin or macro that could essentially turn eq into a text game where you ask it questions and it querys replies.
whats in this room. what direction are they in. etc.
would be pretty interesting to see something actually work.

Well, set /viewport 0 0 1 1, and close everything but MQ2 window and you can get a lot done.

EQ will work pretty much like you asked, just that syntax for MQ2 is a bit different from Zork

There has been discussion on this for many MMO's
The hardcore resource farmers have made new game clients for some of them because it is less resource intensive and easier to manage

I would love to see this but the effort required (it would not be a mq2 plugin) is pretty extreme
