Looking for some help to get the Old Man MacKenzie Raid credit, so I can buy his raid loot items (meaning the Staff of Forbidden Rites) for my team. I was a player during his original release and never had a chamce to get in on the many different raids to unlock the credit to be able to ue his OMM raid missions. Is there an easy way to unlock those nowadays? I still have some Brew Currency plus I can buy new Brews with Qverseer points. Any help is appreciated.

HI sI, I saw that too, thats why I am hoping to know an eay way to flag myself to get to purchase his Raid rewards. If its an old SoD raid, any help would be appreciated, including any starts to help me finish it. I doubt anyone would do it with me on my server, but I imagine with a few higher levels, I can do it with a few box chars myself. Is there also any way to be piggybacked in to do his Nggy/Vox raids and suddenly it will unlock for me? Hope I don;t have to do the whole Dragon kill for that unlock though, I never see anyone wanting to do those missions in years.

(Remember you can't buy the raid loot without the raid flags.)

So here is what I have so far, If I do a SoD raid or 7 of them (unclear if 7 are still required in modern EQ) it will unlock ability to request OMM Vox and Naggy raids. only takes a 6 char requirement to enter the OMM raids, must win one to be able to purchase raid loot items. Most items are still viable for Req 85 and have nice clicks for that level and are fair Non Vis slots. A few items might still have interest to any level with Circle 1 or the Rez staff. My interest in all of this came from the easier to get Brews with Overseer to get the Rez Staff for CLR/Pal/Dru/Shm. The staff is combat Rez 90% I guess.. but would allow a few others to mana free Rez. Looking for opinions on is all this getting a SoD raid done worth it to get this Staff, as Clr and Pal have 96% Rez, others have Call of the Wild. Does anyone use it and it helps with mana free Rezzing or anything? I also did think, if i get at least one char flagged, I can have new Heroics get Brews and gear up with a few select items also. Might be a nice start to super easy gear up/clickies?

I mean, I killed all those raids at like lvl 95 or something like it wasn't no thang.... now it'll be a walk in the park.
Side note, though, the council raid in SoD might be difficult... is that the one you're referring to?
My group is 110 RoS. I don;t own ToV, but safe to say I could easily do most SoD raids? Do you guys have any writeups or strats for those? also... opinions on do you think its worth it just for OMM loot ? thanks and Happy 21st Anniversary to all !
You could easily beat all SoD raids. They can be solo'd, but as Hellfyre mentioned, you need a full group to trigger events in Discord Tower. I found most challenging events to be Field of Bone, Mindblight and Scrying, but with that said, they're all super easy.
Thanks Clevinger, I don;t yet know which 7 raids I should attempt, but I'll try to avoid that Discord one until I can find some kinda strat so i can work it out alone with my box team. I have also never 'raided' with VV, so it will be a learning thing for me.
Sum, No idea. Never have tried it. If that simple.. guess I'll find it easy, I figured its scripted stuff like run over and watch for emotes and things.. perhaps I'm overthinking such old raids.
For the Tower Raids I did these a couple months ago. some things I remember.
Event #2, you had to have 6 Toons in the room to start the event.
Event #4, you had to use torches to light Braziers on the wall... I had to get a couple toons with the torch all at each one to light them, as with 1 toon I couldn't get them all to stay lit at the same time.
Event #6, This was the only event I had an issue with, actually ended up getting Death Touched and having to restart it. The problem I had was my whole group was melee and you have to have Ice and Fire caster to lower a shield.
Taromani shouts, 'Shower me with fire!'
Sibuncu shouts, 'Blast me with ice!'
After I got DT I logged in a low level toon with Fire/Ice and used it for the 2nd go and it was fine.
(also I ended up making the clickable caster item that does Ice/Fire as you only have a couple secs to do each and that worked better. This also helps becuase Twincast makes you fail, and spell has to be above about lvl59)

hi just did this recently for my twink shaman.
1) crystallos is super easy to get the 7 wins required. Zone in , run pocketfarm. Open all the chests.
2) this allows you to zone in (participate) in the raid. You can still get kill credit without zoning in, but if you are needed or the stick actually drops , you are SOL until (1) above is done.
3) for ALL the items to be visible on the vendor, the 3 group missions in addition to the Lady Vox win are required
4) you cannot request Vox until have done Naggy.
5) pet strategy still works
- bring some bags of armour and weps in on your cursor
- position Vox where the pets can hit her but she can’t fear them
6) pull room, Vox will leash, kill adds, then pull Vox the second time.
7) find out which pet is Main Tanking her and have cleric throw heals as required
Be ready - the zone in is instant aggro with a giant that runs at low health. HT him.
terrors will blow you backwards, often into the traps , landing you in hell below. position your fights with them accordingly.
much easier to box with 12 than 6 or bring a few friends
I think rez stick, mask and crown are the only things worth buying anymore, and unless you are a princess, no one looks good as a frog.

Pardon my lack of understanding in older expansion, but isn't crystallos SoF raid? does it still count?

There are 2? clickies from these raids that are for innate abilities, that aren't found many other places, so be sure to check the chests.

I entered with 1 group (both the raids to get access, and the OMM missions)
I had a MUCH easier time with vox (damn her) and naggy with 12 vs 6 or 7 toons
Correct me if I’m wrong, but you don’t need vox and naggy in order to be able to get staff or forbidden rites right? You just need to do 7 SoD raids and then the staff appears on the mom vendor?
Or is it a case of you need to do the 7 raids, to get access to vox and naggy, to get access to the items on the vendor?
yeah, so the way it works is beating nagafen opens up the naggy items, and vox opens up the vox items from the vendor.
I was hoping to just overseer my way to brews lol, but you can't buy the items (rez stick in my case) without killing naggy
