As the local 36 year old, self confessed computer geek virgin nerd, I have to agree with this. Either everybody IS 13, or has the mentality of one.

I an't into kids, so I solo alot these days.

the kids crack me up. i like the vibe in the guild and in our vent server. we have a few youngins, but the older folks look out for them.

i get my share of kids everyday teaching at elementary school.

heh...as a teacher at junior high in japan, i can say i know at least a couple of students that know 'world of warcraft.' i dont know if they play it though, so their knowledge of rags is questionable.

i on the other hand am 29 and have frequent discussions about about nartuo and pokemon with both my students and most of the teachers.

the best was the 43 year old history teacher complaining that he wanted to play pokemon diamond but it was too expensive because he would have to buy a ds lite too. i believe he still bought one the following week.

to keep on topic though, its probably just my guild, but i am surprised at how many people i play with are actually adults; although this is probably because

a. i dont play on a pvp server.

and

b. well, thats it really, i dont play on a pvp server.

I remember always wanting a power glove as a kid because I saw some hip break dancer wear it as an accessory. Then I thought, wow, not only will I be able to break dance with this - but I'll be able to shoot ducks and contras with my FIST. My dad would never buy me one, though.

I am 28 but I already feel weird being on vent with mostly 20 year olds. In my last guild someone would make some kind of lame sexual comment and other people would be like "ewwww" as I think to myself "Damn I've done that..."

I think maybe it was just spending too much time guilded with fucked up people in other games and earlier WoW guilds that now I feel awkward when I am around people who have a somewhat "normal" sense of humor? I dunno.

I could never get into animated porn, because in most cases the quality of the animation is really poor and I end up just critiquing the low frame rates and same overused expressions/horrible voice overs.

Your dad is a good man... I bought one, and it was the most pointless, useless, and disapointing computery thing ever (and yes, I also bought MOO3 and still think that) I'm absolutely certain that it would have been a FAR better break-dancing accessory than game controller.
