Guide - NOS - Under Siege

On this mission you spawn at the bridge, say "they come" to Sergeant Hujiid to start the event. There are 2 shield mobs with two akhevans behind them at the start. The easiest way to beat this event for most is to move up to about the midbridge position, when the shield guys get close but not to you, broadcast for your entire group to leap past them. The alt act # for each classes leap abilities are as follows:

War: 3899
Shd: 824
Pal: 741
Ber: 3899
Bst: 240
Mnk: 1011
Rog: 1135
Brd: 8202
Rng: 616
Mag: 3841
Nec: 901
Enc: 1024
Wiz: 9701
Shm: 949
Clr: 1023
Dru: 813

After that beat down the first pair of adds, the next two then the next pair that spawns and then the named. Enjoy your chests :)

the way I got around shield guys, was I just jumped on the rail of bridge, ran past them and then dropped back down onto bridge section.
killed the 4 DB and then the boss total time was around 1 min.

I tried trying to get around shield guys but got caught when dropping on the way down. Was total chaos from there .

Did you draw them in first before you ran ?

The point here is to use the leap abilities to get past the shield guys, need to be close before you activate the leaps. I waited midbridge until they got close then leapt.

Yeah, I just got home and wrote a couple of the events. Going to test them tonight on everyone before I post. Kids need dinner and baths first.

Whatever you do, just burn her, and try to pull her to the friendly npc's, opposite side of golems. This way you avoid centi adds, and if you burn properly, you skip her emotes entirely.
Do phase one adds next to her by the doorway, if you stay by the line on the floor golems will never reach you, if you go too far adds will leash, once she go up, just jump into golems to get knocked to the other side, puller and burn.
If you stay by the doorway where she goes active, you risk eating Centi adds if your burn is slow. If your burn is enough to skip Centies, stay there. Centies will summon you to them inside the tunnel making her follow you and leash to 100%hp, it'll be a wipe unless you CC adds. Dunno if mez works, but on the raid version you are meant to mezz them.

Great info!

I'm a bit too tired to list them all but

run a mage along the bridge wall and CoH the rest of the group over.

I'm not sure why your all doing this, I activate it, wait by the Shar Vahl Guards.
- halfway through golem advance 2 mobs run through - I kill them (with rogue it takes seconds)
- after those 2 are dead, the named runs through. burn named. no need to jump past them or kill 4.

Can confirm on this one. Just sat there with the Vah Shir and the fight came to me. I got 2/3 achievements as well. I didn't cure the one thing or whatever. Enjoy!

I never see anything to cure. I also slow played this one and killed 4 adds before I finished it. So not sure how to get that achieve.

i tried doing this and wiped when 1st named was at 66% instantly. i was with guards too. did this change after the patch?

May need more dps if you wait by npcs. I've had more luck leaping when they're about halfway. I think once the golems advance last halfway, they'll continue to advance to the npcs regardless of your position. Event will fail once they get to npcs.

This event is a bit of dps check. Good dps makes execution a lot easier.

Not true, there is definitely logic in place to decide which way the golems move, and it's most likely based on your position.

With good DPS, this mission is a joke...but try doing it with 3 rogue mercs for DPS and it is radically more difficult. The dator adds become a real threat, and so do the actual golems. I imagine the devs tried to find a balance between these 2 extremes - they didn't quite succeed.

I've yet to find a way to cheese it - if you try doing anything "clever", Vius Vex will leash and summon you, and the dator adds will be problematic. I'd be very interested in strats for a low dps group.

Ported over at the start to where boss is at. Went into the left corner with one mage. Group stacked in corner and near cliff edge. One Toon stayed behind to start event and get CoH'ed. Killed them all as they spawned. If you are back into that corner don't have to deal with leap or AoE at all in our run. Save burns for boss. Burn at boss and win. Just have to make sure to turn off move behind the boss etc.

Be careful with dmg and summons though, too far pulled out it warps back and resets then summons. Dmg at start means they can summon peeps into the golem

Leap is working for me, I was able to get mobs to run through but if you are not right on the golems while you fight them it seems like they leash and or I get summoned by the boss and things can get crazy bots run though golems and we wipe.

I have been setting everyone to chase just letting the golems walk to about the half way line on the bridge leap past and then kill the first 2 adds that follow close to the golems. then the next up by the boss, then burn boss.

Seemed to me that if I let the golems get a ways out before we leap they never make it back close enough to worry about because they do turn around and head back once you leap. Also this keeps first set of adds away from second set if you need to keep things broke up. If you and leap turn around then move all the way to the wall of the bridge and back close to the golems you can pull them one at a time with out aggro from the other and kill them starting at the golems and work clockwise through each the 4 adds in the corners just have to watch that the golems don't get to close while killing the first 2 near them. Doing it that way might help with the lower dps groups by breaking up the adds.

Not that it helps any but I also have been seeing that the golem shield drops when someone is hit by the aura I think? and you can just run past while its down. The right golem (while facing the boss from the start before you leap) appears to blink it shield once and while, not sure why or what causes it, but it also allows you to run by on that side when its down. You can see them blink and drop their aura in sics video too.

anyone know what is the shade that flying around supposed to do? Most of the fight there's one or 2 up there flying around that seems to come down and bounce off the ground? it seems to be there before you start the mission too?

Does your hotkey script work as posted? I copied it in, but it isn't triggering for me.

EDIT: NVM. It works. It didn't like testing in the GH for me.

Ive done this Mission many times over the past 3 days. bridge edge works (if your pressed for time), but the easiest was the way @Nihkasilma said. Set up camp in the guards, wait foe them to rush forward. Does take more time, but nothing fancy about it.

PS the golems do keep moving, so have to kill 2 mini's and the boss before they finish the walk of shame.

one thing though, my beastlord jumped about twice as long as my casters. Before I started I had to go and stand everyone where I wanted them to land. Then do the jump backwards so I knew where to position them.

Another vote for stand-your-ground. Though I haven't tried the leap and can see it shaving some of the waiting time.

Otherwise they come to you, you kill 2, then 1, then done.

Hah, my SK face planted the wall above tunnel. Seems SK can jump the entire bridge length. Had four different landing zones depending on class.

Camp on top of sergeant. kill 2 trash, burn named, loot.

Does anyone know how get get the debuff for the achievement? I've done this mission like 10 times and have never even seen it on my tank. I'm assuming it's just random, but if so, that is incredibly stupid...

You have to slow roll dps on the boss, yes it's random who gets it (the same char can get it multiple times) and I'm not sure the boss's active target (the tank) will get it (haven't seen it yet). Also, there's no emote so you have to see the screen on the toon that gets it. Add in the dator adds that spawn on a timer and summon random toons to its spawn point even with zero damage, and the event resetting if too much time passes, and we easily have the most annoying challenger achieve of this expansion.

Has anyone gotten the debuff achievement yet? There a consistent trick to it, or is it just going to be annoying?

Vius Vex casts the Dimming Heart every 90 seconds beginning with her activation (last guard slain)

One run we were able to get 3 in before Dator summoning.
Next run only two.

Code:
[Mon Dec 19 14:33:02 2022] Zun Zethon Vius has been slain by Xxxx!
[Mon Dec 19 14:34:34 2022] Vius Vex begins casting Dimming Heart.
[Mon Dec 19 14:36:04 2022] Vius Vex begins casting Dimming Heart.
[Mon Dec 19 14:37:39 2022] Vius Vex begins casting Dimming Heart.

[Mon Dec 19 14:53:51 2022] Zun Zethon Vius has been slain by Xxxxxx!
[Mon Dec 19 14:55:24 2022] Vius Vex begins casting Dimming Heart.
[Mon Dec 19 14:56:54 2022] Vius Vex begins casting Dimming Heart.

Haven't figured out what her shouting is about: She did it one run. Not the next.
Code:
[Mon Dec 19 14:36:49 2022] Vius Vex shouts 'Luclin! Curse these invaders!'
[Mon Dec 19 14:37:54 2022] Vius Vex shouts 'Luclin! Curse these invaders!'

The randomness of "No Dark Heart" makes it difficult to get. I have gotten it for all of my crew but my tank.

What I have found works best is to kill all but the Named on the far side of the bridge with the Stonegrabber dudes ending very close to the far side. Then running back to the good guys. I then dps the named down to 10-15% and I port everyone but the Tank and Healer out. I then try to get the dot on the War or whoever needed it. The last time, only the shm got it instead of the war. it was sad =(

I do this by just standing at the start guy,
1. Start it
2. @4 mins the 2 adds run over, I kill them.
3. boss goes active and runs over, I kill it down to 20% and then DPS off
4. @the 90s mark it curses 1 person. (I wrote a lem to cure it with the hail)
5. I then re-engage and kill the boss before aura's get to that side.

instead of opening the chest, I just dropped and repeated task till the whole group got it.. (took about 10 times for 6 toons)

It works really well, and since except the pause to get the dot is how I was doing it anyways, costs me only a couple secs.

to get the tank I used a Gina Trigger with a timer for the DoT, and about 2 secs before it lands I FD on SK and tank it on rog. I was lucky and got it on my first try.

The 3 of us so far didn't get the notification until after the chest was opened.

Are you saying you got the Achievement regardless of completing the task?

I can confirm, that you get the green message after about 30 seconds, and the achievement is marked completed.

I used the following for mq2events. My toons pause and ran to say help to the spirist. There might be bugs in the command line, but toons ran there and said help.

[DimmingHeartOnME]
trigger="#*#The darkness inside you begins to grow#*#"
command=/multiline ; /docommand /${Me.Class.ShortName} pause on; /target spiri ; /nav target ; /say help

How do you have time to achieve this before the golems with the aura get to the guards? Are you jousting to the other side of the bridge at some point to get the golems to travel back?

Could be random, but may be hate list specific which can appear random. Tank never getting it is a clue that its not simple random. I am not to the point where I am boxing this event, but those interested should test fading/shedding agro on the char you are trying to get the achievement on before she triggers the dot. Please share your results.

Can the tank get the dot while FD? or just FD to clear agro?

No idea but FD at 1:28, let the Berz tank, stand up and sit there and got it on the 8th try. Funny enough the Berz got it twice while tanking
