OK. I admit to being a total noob about mq2. Perhaps even a boob.

I see posts here that indicate people are using mq2 after the patch, but when I start mq2 and then eq, I get "Incorrect Client Version".

Soooo... what am I doing wrong?

Hey, im a newb too, but all ya gotta do is go to the MQ2 site and download the updated version, and then either compile that to get the new .exe (which i wont even touch lol) or find somebody that already did...which is what im doing right now :D

ok. i have this MQ window in EQ.

I type /who in the main window and get reply in MQ window.
what else can I type.

Is there a list somewhere, or a tutorial, ...

Sorry to be SUCH a noob, but....

[as Popeye says]

I Yam what I Yam.

lol, popeye is the man, just type /help macro and it'll give you a list of the different commands. the MQ website also has a list of the different commands on it, with a very brief description

Ok.. Almost there.. (lol)

What are the .dll files I see strewn over this cork?
And how do I run the macros that are listed here... -like the bard afk macro, for example ?

I (*think*) that is the end of my questions... maybe... possibly...

To get a reply in your Normal chat window (and none of the fancy MQ stuff) when using /WHO command. All you type is /

Examples:

This will go to MQ window.
/who druid

This will go to Normal window.
/ druid

Can we please get this moved to the Questions and Requests forum?

But to answer questions:

What are the .dll files I see strewn over this cork?
They are plugins, they go in the MQ2 folder

And how do I run the macros that are listed here... -like the bard afk macro, for example ?

Copy and paste it to notepad. Save it as anything you like but add the .mac extention. In game type /mac YourMacroName.mac

Thanks...
(put the thread where it belongs.)

I have tested it and it works.
It is REALLY good.

I think I have soiled my pants with excitement. :D
