Now you have a little way of finding out if that rare mob is up.

Do any emote with an NPC's name and if they are in the vicinity, you just might be able to tell.

Lets say you are in Commonlands and want to find out if Terrathud is up.

/dance Terrathud

If you see the emote complete, it means that this mob is up. If your'e just dancing with yourself, then probably not.

This doesn't always work for common mobs such as "a timberclaw gnoll" because "/dance a" might make you just end up dancing with someone who's name starts with the letter a.

This, used to work until most recently, when they tried to nerf this in a patch. They didn't quite get it nerfed, though.

/ponder Xcreature will return 1 of 2 results (make sure you have nothing targeted).

1) CharacterName ponders.

or...

2) CharacterName ponders .

Did you take notice of the space between ponder and "." in the 2nd version? (SOE didn't)

If there is space is present between the period and the text, the creature is up!
