Question - No input

[Vu-Vi]

Just DL'ed MQ2. At the char select screen I see a MQ2 box that looks like a chat box. Once I join my server (Luclin) the box is gone. I have to relaunch the game to see it at Char select again. I use ISboxer but this is the case with and without running ISboxer. All characters have it at select but not in world. I have no place to type in the directions from the kiss assist page.

check your macroquest.ini and see if you have the plugin mq2chatwnd set to =1

if you do then type this command in game
/mqchat reset

There is a lot of MQ2 stuff in the game so I know that it is working. Like the follow me in the group window and the character location overlay are there. MQ2 is running, just no textbox after login.

I installed it in the wrong spot (my desktop) and tried to move it which broke it. I did a fresh install to the correct location and it is working now.

The box I was seeing was the news box and in the game I was only getting partial plug ins. Now I have the "MQ" chatbox.

I should note that I ran the uninstaller before I tried to move it. This is I'm sure what broke it. The important note however is that the uninstaller did not uninstall much of anything. It just broke it. As noted, MQ2 continued to run with reduced functionality even after running the installer. I only moved the folder after the uninstaller ran but didn't actually uninstall the application. The uninstaller might not be working as intended.
