Question - "Next" Plugin licenses USED TO auto-sync every 4 hours

Was curious if the CWTN plugins are going to work with MQNext at some point? I have been using them with VV and no issues but was curious

yup, the CWTN class plugins have all been on "Next" for months.

Currently:

All purchases or renewals "sync" on the server every 0-4 hours, 6 times a day.
Once it "syncs" you will be able to download the "next" version of the plugin via the launcher.

Q. Can I just copy over MQ2 files into next?
A. No, you can not copy the mq2 file into your next folder. They are not the same, nor compatible. This will not Work. You should always let the launcher download and places files for you.

Soon there will only be "Next" and not both mq2 and next, and then there will be no licenses to sync

tl;dr - licenses sync every 4 hours, use the redguide's launcher to install your next plugins.

Update June 04, 2021:
Cwtn will no longer be able to send out daily rebuilds of the plugins for next.

Once next is closer to full release, and is built and shipped via the RedGuides Very Vanilla launcher, the plugins will be available there, just like you get then now for mq2.

Next plugins are now supported in the launcher. Make sure you have the most up to date Launcher.

If you want to make a purchase, you have to buy the normal live version of the plugin.

Please be aware that there will likely be a difference in version of the plugin you get, so live notes may not accurately reflect changes in next. It's possible Next will be ahead of normal Live, and it's possible normal Live may be ahead of Next.
We do our best to keep them both as equal as possible, but sometimes it doesn't always work out.

Moving forward, if you have an issue and you are using a Next version of the plugins, you need to let us know in your bug report!

Update for CWTN and Next plugins. Redbot's got the licenses for next being added automagically!
The bad news on that is the sync is only run every 4 hours, or 6 times a day.
What this means for you, the user:
You no longer need to message me or Sic, and no longer need to wait for one of us to respond to the message.
It won't necessarily be 4 hours for the sync, unless you made a purchase immediately after the last time the sync was run. It could be 10 minutes, 2 hours, 30 minutes and 42 seconds, etc.

I'm bumping this thread as a way to make it show up again for new people just returning to redguides for the new expansions. We're getting a lot of questions about this. We're no longer handling these manually, please wait for the sync to occur. We won't be manually updating anyone. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Please DO NOT BUY the "Next" version of the plugins. They are listed at $1,000 to keep people from buying them. If you buy them, not only will you have spent $1,000, you will also only have access to that license for a short period of time before the server syncs your live/next licenses which is one way. So the lack of a legacy license will poof your Next license.

I'm saying this because someone accidentally spent $1,000 on a next license today. I refunded the purchase nearly immediately. But if I don't catch it when it happens and paypal keeps some of your money (The transaction fee) then I do not refund what they keep (I can't spend money out of my pocket so you aren't charged a fee). So please don't do it as apparently the fee is like $36, which you could have used to purchase a license for nearly two plugins with.

Please just wait the time it takes for the licenses to sync.

"MacroQuest" licenses are now the licenses that you get when purchased, legacy, for as long as RG still has legacy, is what will end up waiting on a sync, but MacroQuest, which was referred to as "Next" will no longer require a wait
