I am sure I will have a lot, but I am using my 60 MAG to PL a BRD at the moment.

Some issues I am seeing are that my MAG will not med while in combat even with MedCombat=1. Also I notice that he often goes off to pull and will wait for a complete pull/kill cycle before rebuffing himself or the BRD toon as well. Also not sure how to get him to keep Journeyman's Boots up on him. I am sure the syntax is wrong to using the item in buffs.

Here's my MAG ini, any feedback is appreciated:

I am assuming your on TLP but I will try to help anyway....

I see you want Journeymans Boots to buff, you have the syntax wrong....

Rich (BB code):
Buffs4=Journeyman Boots|Me
should be
Rich (BB code):
Buff4=Journeyman's Boots|Me

In normal EQ those are never needed as we get an awesome AA called Run Speed.

Great tips, thanks guys!

Any advice about the meditate during combat? Perhaps that is disabled if you're tagged as the Puller type or does it have to do with the meditate threshold being so low (20%)?

I think you're right with the low threshold. I don't think the INI settings function the way you're reading them.

MedStart=## is the percentage that you start to med up to 90% or so. It's the threshold that's used for GroupWatch as well.
MedCombat=0/1 Off/On Having this turned on/1 will have you med instead of assisting on mobs once the threshold has been reached. You might be reading this as a "Med between/during combat casting?" setting, which it is not.

You can likely set up a downshit to have your mage med if it has aggro, is not casting, is not moving, etc. As long as you have auto-stand enabled in your EQ settings, it shouldn't be a problem to have a holy sitting you down during "combat", though I'm not sure how to handle that if the mage is supposed to be puller as well. Will have to think about it a bit.

heh, your reading my mind Razkle.

I know... it didn't take long =P

No mounts on TLP yet unfortunately. When the time comes I will for certain.

What is a downshit / holy?

I posted a quick summary of holy/downshits here.

Downshits and holyshits are paired with downflags and holyflags.

You can have something like 40-60 of each now, I believe.

In your server_name.ini file in your release directory, there will be a MQ2Melee section, and is where your shits/flags will be located.

downshits will ONLY process when you do not have auto-attack on, and holyshits will ONLY process if you have autoattack on. If you want something to process both during autoattack and not, you need to have a down and a holy for the same situation.

Downshits and holyshits are formatted the same way:

Rich (BB code):
downshit1=/if (Condition && Condition && Condition) /command

Conditions must produce a number other than 0 or produce "TRUE" to process correctly and issue the end command. You can use comparisons or use Equal/NotEqual MQ2data types to produce your results for your conditions. In the above holyshit I made for you, the .ID at the end of the buff check produces the buff's ID number, or results in a NULL if the buff is not present. If the buff is present and a number is returned from the ID check, it will treat it as a TRUE and process the /switch command.

You can use comparative statements like ${Target.PctHPs}<98 or ${Me.CombatState.NotEqual[COMBAT]} as conditions. They're extremely versatile when you've familiarized yourself with the MQ2 TLO's and data types.

If you have more questions, post. I'll help as much as I can. Would have made a more thorough description of the shits if I weren't at work atm.
