First of all thank you for KissAssist in general, it gives me a good way of testing out classes by levelling loads at the same time - I made 6 characters yesterday, War/Brd/Ber/BST/Rog/Clr

I followed the basic tutorials and generated their inis, but for some reason the Rog Ber and Bst do a weird rotation before every hit and it shows on their screens that they can’t see their targets - the targets are still and not moving, all are set to melee on and snaproll by default

The rogue was also doing weird things with sneak and hide, when they were used for some reason it wouldn’t engage unless I manually turned them off

I am pretty sure the inis are fine, next step might be to download Almars basic 10-15 inis to see if it makes a difference

Also, as an aside is there a macro to buy and mem spells automatically?

You often get some weird Jitterbug type movement if you have your toons on follow...and then you get into a fight and they want to assist...but they also still follow...but they also try to assist...and follow....and assist...and follow.

If you see what i mean..they have no idea what to do..so they do the Jitterbug.

If you are learning KA it is a great thing to look at other folks ini and also to post ini's here.

Some other things to check:

Is UseMQ2Melee on or off? If you want full control - turn it off. If you want MQ2Melee to do some normal type stuff then you can leave it on.

StickHow is HOW you want the toon to behave. Ie rogue want to backstab - so snaproll rear is the best idea.

[Melee]
SettingsDefaultValues/ModsWhat this setting does
AssistAt951-100Mob health to assist/attack. This affects when you engage and is NOT specific to melee characters. IE pet classes will send pets at this %.
MeleeOn00/10=Off/1=On - Toggles physical melee (Note: Generally set to 0 for casters or they will run in and melee).
FaceMobOn10/1/2/30=Off/1=Will Face mobs (includes casting spells)/2=More realistic facing - Toggles facing mob when incoming to camp, and right before combat starts. (Casters should generally disable this)/3=For any Puller role and only valid when pulling. Will face mob just before attacking.
MeleeDistance75Any #Mobs outside this radius will not be engaged. Tank modes will use this distance to decide if mobs should be engaged. This distance applies to casters engaging with spells as well and will be checked even when MeleeOn=0.NOTE: Setting this entry to the same value as CampRadius will keep the Tank from taking that initial Jump at the mob on incoming.
StickHowsnaproll0/I/Stick Option(s)Tells character how to stick to mob when fighting. !front, behindonce, snaproll rear, front. See mq2moveutils for valid commands and descriptions.
I - Ignore Sticking in Combat, When NOT Using MQ2Melee.
0(Zero) - will use just /stick with NO additional options.
Note: Stick while in combat will try and use MAX melee distance. To adjust for this, use the % option in your StickHow command to move closer to the mob. Example: StickHow=MoveBack 50% loose
MeleeTwistOn00/1/2MeleeTwistOn=0 No Melee Twist. This is the default.
MeleeTwistOn=1 Start Melee Twist when you engage your target in combat.
MeleeTwistOn=2 Start Melee Twist when there are mobs in the XTarget window.
MeleeTwistWhatTwist Order/ContinuousSong order to twist during combat if MeleeTwistOn is on. If set to MeleeTwistWhat=Continuous the bard will continue to twist the normal song order as defined in TwistWhat from the General Section
AutoFireOn00/10=Off/1=On - Toggles Auto fire on/off. Ranged item and ammo must be equipped.
UseMQ2Melee10/1/20=Turn off and unload MQ2Melee.
1=Use MQ2Melee and let MQ2Melee auto control sticking. This options does NOT use the melee StickCMD. 2=Use MQ2Melee and let MQ2Melee control sticking. This option uses the melee StickCMD.
Autohide00/10=Off/1=On - Toggles auto Sneak Hide for Rogues. Rogue will hide sneak after every fight
TargetSwitchingOn00/10=Off/1=On - This allows the MA to manually switch targets. TargetSwitchingON can only be turned on if your the MA, It is ignored for any other character/role.

One of the BEST things about KA is the Manual/Reference guide available under the Kissassist Menu. Read it, and try it, and read it again.

As Szaxor said, the turning is probably the afollow issue. I still do this on occasion when I forget to click it off follow.

As for buying and memming spells, check out PokScribe. It's amazing and has singlehandedly saved the remaining hair that I have left.

I agree with Szaxor. Look at the KissAssist WIKI and read how each section applies to your characters. Example: Set your Tank and Main Assist role on who you want to tank. (setting the roles is always the first thing I do in a group) Next would be to set up the INI as to what you want the character to do. (Rogue to backstab, Beastlord to help with buffs and heals or to fight and beserker to just kill)

Once you have figured out what you want each character to do in the group and set up the ini it's time to run KissAssist.mac on each character.

Here is a hotkey that will help:

KissAssist <---------------title of the hotkey
Line #1 /mac kissassist assist ${Group.MainTank} <----------This will have the character target the Main Tank of the group and run KissAssist on that character

For the Tank change line 1 to:
/mac kissassist tank <----------this will run the KissAssist ini for the tank (make sure that you target the tank before running this on your tank.)

Now a few things to do:

1. If you are not using MQNext you need to switch to it. There are several post on how to set this up if you have not done it.
2. Have FUN!!!!!!!
3. If you don't understand something ASK. (there are a lot of folks here that will help you with finding a solution to your question. Also give details in your questions like if you are using next, does it happen all the time, can you reproduce it, things like that help pin point the problem and you get better answers.)
4. If your question gets answered let folks know thats it got fixed and what you did to fix it. (there might be a few folks that might be having the same thing happen.)
5. (Most importent) See step 2.

Mqnext seems awesome, took me longer than I’d like to admit to get set up but it seems much faster
