Problem - New Issue 3/13 Macros that start other macros fail

Not sure what changed, but i've seen reports here that /mac auto and /mac ihcstart no longer work. I can confirm my own macro that does a similar switching to start a second macro also fails, as well as a report from @toots over discord of similar behavior.

For me, this usually results in an instance or two completely freezing and needing to be killed in task managed, so I cannot provide any dumps.

Anyone else confirm this / have ideas as to what we can do?

i'm in the same boat, I'm getting some random freeze's when running the IHC macro's, game locks and have the kill the process to get back into that char, same issue with no dumps, so I can't pin point whats wrong

Does it happen if you start the macros without using ihcstart? Starting them 1 by on 1 on each class? Just trying to whittle it down to being the macro starting a macro issue.

Funny thing is that is does not happen every time. Relog and try again and it works. I have never tried to start them individually.

Played for about 6hrs last evening with no issue here but I will keep my eye on this thread if anyone is able to provide a way to reproduce the error I will get it fixed asap. Wondering if there might be a plugin causing it...I run a very limited set of plugins

IHC385, are you running any Kiss based macro also? If I start IHC first I don’t tend to see the issue, but if I start Kiss first it freezes on at least one of the toons using IHC.

Nope, no Kiss here and I did just recently have to disable some stuff in my mac cause of a conflict with Kiss. So I guess I should ask anyone who's having these issue's are you also running Kiss or another mac on other toons?

Could be. Will try and figure out more tonight.

Some of my toons run kiss, but most of them run macros very similar in structure to yours (and auto_).

I start macro's individually and with a 6 box crew at least one of them fails to start their macro being auto or ihc. Kiss has yet to fail.

IHC385. I run Kiss on my Bard, and a custom mac on my tank, mage, bst, and then IHC on my cleric and zerker currently.

it freezes if you start a macro from another macro.

Ok this is good info and why I might not be getting the issue on my end. Thanks @william12

For anyone having issues if you are starting the macro with /mac ihcstart every time...stop :)

/mac ihcstart only needs to be run 1 time on 1 toon, this writes some aliases and is definitely starting a macro from another macro.
After the initial run just use /ihcstart
its just an alias for /macro IHCMercs\IHC${Me.Class.ShortName}.mac

If this is the issue I will change ihcstart.mac to ihcinstall.mac to make it more clear how it should be started.

I start macro's individually and with a 6 box crew at least one of them fails to start their macro being auto or ihc. Kiss has yet to fail.
How are you starting the macro's on the chars running the IHC macs? /mac ihcstart on each char? /mac IHCMercs\IHCCLR.mac? /ihcstart?

We had this issue before, but I can't remember what caused it.

If you remember or come across anything let me know please!
I'm thinking I either have some sort of alias conflict with kiss or as william mentioned starting a macro from a macro...thats never worked right on my system which is why I went with an alias.

I appreciate all the info so far

Just updated, and it freezed when I started my zerker.

Cleric started fine and I did not have any other macros started.

Updated as well, client froze when i ran /mac auto on my bard. So far there are 3 outcomes. The mac runs fine, the client freezes, or I get the message Reached end of macro @0 (NULL): the current macro has ended and after that message if i attempt to run it again it freezes 100% of the time

I was using /mac ihcstart each time. So far since running just /ihcstart i havent had a crash. unfortunately you dont have the bard set up =p

Ok if this fixed your problem try running your auto bard with /mac auto_BRD ( his /mac auto does the exact same this as /mac ihcstart does )

I'm able to reproduce this issue with a core build from macroquest2, 100% stock plugins.

After using startkiss one or two times, or running macbug1 a couple times will trigger the freeze.
