Version of KissAssist.mac?
For the characters impacted: CLR 11.000; ENC 11.001; SHM 11.001; MAG 11.005; WIZ 11.000
When did your problem start?
Whenever I swapped from the level 1 .ini files I used originally to the new ones once I reached level 10 in game.
Character Role?
  1. Assist
What class is having this issue?
  1. Cleric
How often does this issue occur?
Always
Can you reproduce the issue?
Not entirely sure
Hey everyone,

So when I was level 1 I generated my party's .ini files via running kissassist. Ended the macro, and proceeded to copy/paste .ini's for each class accordingly.

Once I got to level 10, I decided it was time to refresh spells/.ini files. So I found the new .ini's, copy pasted/saved, and ran kissassist again, only to find that my characters seem to still try and use the old .ini file somehow.
What I mean by this, is they actively unlearn the new spells I've bound, and replace them with what was being used in the previous .ini file.

The spells that they're memorizing aren't even in the new .ini files.

Any help to the matter would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks!

Have you tried to delete the old ini files and then reboot. Run the characters back into EQ and then make them run KissAssist to make new character ini files?

I have not. That’s a good troubleshoot.
Currently my troubleshoot so far has just been relaunching etc.

Ill have to give that a go for sure!

So just delete each character ini file, run kissassist/end to create the new ini file, then copy/paste the new desired ini file in and turn on kiss?

Double check the directory. RG Launcher->Settings->Directory

Is that the /release/macros folder you're copying them too?

You could also do a windows start tab search for Kissassist_Name.ini and I'll bet you'll find there are two copies. You'll need to see which one KA is reading.

also a good point!
It’s funny you mention that because my shaman definitely memorized an old spell from the previous ini and then relearned one of the new spells from the new ini file.

thank you for the tip!

Hey real quick to clarify,

The ini files should be saved within the macros folder correct?

Turns out that apparently I DID have two copies. The desired ini files were saved in the release folder somehow, and the previous ini is saved within the macro folder.

To be clear, I need to replace the ones in the macro folder with the ones that I'm wanting to be utilized?

Thanks again!

Yepper... Just get rid of the ones that are not in the Macros folder. Then you can try to edit the ones in the Macro folder or just delete them as well and just make new ones by running KissAssist.
