Question - New (again) to Kissassist (mage group on TLP) - I really could use some help with pets please :)

Hey all, I'm finally able to get my group going (4 mages, chanter, healer). I'm having some trouble that I know worked before, but my old PC is gone, and so are my old ini's for me to try to look at (it's also been years...). My issue is this. I play one mage as the lead character. If I attack a mob in a room, but if my other mages are not within LOS of the mob, they just sit there. Now I don't expect THEM to nuke (LOS of course) but they won't even send the pets. My main mage's pet will just slowly die while their pets don't move. I don't understand why. I remember how I could send mage pets to attack mobs inside rooms one floor up in Unrest for example, and they'd rush as soon as I targeted said mob. Not now. I'm hoping it's just a configuration I'm not setting up. They are set to assist at 100, so I don't know what gives. Thank you in advance for you help as I did try to search for help on here but was unsuccessful. Here is the pet section:

Puller and assistants are the same ini. The only thing I do different is do the /mac kissassist MA 99 for the assistants.

are u setting group role to ma ?. Second target ur tank.. do/mac kissassist assist..

I think you want to start the other mages with:
/mac kissassist assist MainMageName 99

I'd actually just edit their ini to be Role=Assist and set the percentage you want. That way you can manually restart one if it disconnects or something.

Then adjust the [Pet] petattackrange and maybe [General] campradius or [Melee] meleedistance, so that the Assist toons will decide the mobs you want are in range.

Are you not wanting to bring mobs back to camp at all?

You current role for all, PetTank mode, will wait until mob is "in-camp" to attack and they won't care about assist at all. Tank modes are all set to protect the "camp" from wanderers or pulled in mobs, not to care who has a target or what percentage the mobs are at. Tank modes just punch whatever is in their camp.

My 2/3/4 mage are all set as Role=Assist. Only the main mage is set to Role=PetTank. And yes I'm suggesting not bringing the mobs back to camp. If I see an easy mob with my main mage that I want to kill right there where it stands, I would want my other mages, sitting around the corner to not have to obtain LOS to send in their pets. If I am wanting to pull, well then I'll use a spell and run back to the mage group. But this way, I can roam freely while the rest of the group is sitting in camp, and I can "request" the pets to attack whatever it is I'm targeting

Hmm, yeah I think PetAttackRange is one of the few settings in KA that doesn't do an LoS check, so it should send pet out. If you expand those Assist mage's campradius and meleedistance to match, does that help?

The subroutine for Combat does check for LoS, so you may need to remove this line from it:
