Question - Need to Catch Up on Understanding - 5 Years Gone (Necro) (3 Viewers)

Just started back up again on Live, I came back for Frostreaver and Legends, but drifted back to Live after getting bored.

So I'm 130, like 65k AA Necro and on Firiona Vie so No Trade isn't an issue for things

I've figured out some gear like Divine Schism, not really figured out what the Best non-Raiding is yet or the non-vis gear should be yet

Had a few questions:

1. What's best non-raiding gear now?

2. What's the new basic currency and things I should be doing, missions etc?

3. Spell focus seems to have changed, there used to be Slot 3 Augments.. it Looks like I now buy a Faycite and click it to get the Focus as an AA, is that correct? Is there any value to Type 3 slots now? It's still on the gear, is there augments valuable for these slots?

4. Are there any super valuable Clickies that I sort of need to try and get? I still have like my Robe from Anguish and stuff, Jann's mask... is there anything else really good around? Is anything related to the Epic like the Epic 2.5 shard or 2.0 still of any value?

5. Anything kind of needed or really helpful in the Cash store in the past several years, like some super mount or familiar or big Quality of Life thing?

6. Is the Overseer mechanic still of any value? Any new mechanics or side games or tasks like that I might not know about?

7. Any particular progression in the past I should be doing, or Achievements or anything with good rewards or necessary to do?

8. Is there any other big things I'm not thinking of or don't seem to know about?

1. EQResource is my go to for this group gear has 3 tiers
2. each xpac you get a raid and a mission currency. this xpac there are 4 missions, so just cycle them daily
3. some classes would still use spell type 3s if they use multiple spells from a spell line (like cleric remedy etc). you could also get things like Stone of Judgment
4. make sure you get both guild hall anchors - you can get from the marketplace and one from loyalty vendor, i also suggest getting a brownie pet illusion so you can see if your pet is holding weapons. other clickies you really just want the jann's veil (best illusion), then the xpac's progression mount and familiar - those 3 - illusion, mount, familiar are solid. you get a mount and familiar each xpac doing progress
5. brownie familiar, or vitrik (spelling)
6. I > personally < stay away from overseer, just seems like a #trap to automate and get busted. but it is a good way to get missing shinies or if you have a clr/dru/pal to get currency for brews for your rez stick
7. doing merc/partisan progression of expansions is a really good idea --- then you can go back and do the Heroic Stat achievements they give you Fort/Reso/Vit

8. dont forget to have fun :p I personally find eq/mq much more fun with a friend or a couple of friends.

They added a lot of evolving items over the last few years similar to the ones from The Burning Lands and earring from TOV/COV. You will probably want to look into doing those for Type 18/19 augs.

Just now seeing this one, and it's very relevant for me as well. The chase loot items really intrigue me. Is it worth getting them even if you can't get the raid achieves to get them fully evolved? Or is it feasible to single-group some of the older raids like the NoS ones for the cloak?

the evolve items aren't the chase items - chase items are tradable raid loot equivalent from the previous expansion that can drop from group mobs.
the evolving items are either dropped (like the efreeti boots or djarn ring) or are from doing a question line (like the mask of vortex from sor). in many/most cases they're worth doing even if you can't unlock the full raid tier
