Problem - Need help, strange stuff going on

Hello FOlks,

Im a newbie to this software but I have watched the intro videos and followed them step by step. Things seemed to be going ok until this afternoon when all of a sudden I would intermittenly get issues like characters dropping from the group, or characters logging out one unexpectedly. Now I am seeing characters getting stuck facing someone and be unable to move.its to the point now where the software is unusable.


What did I do? I have played around with the kissassist .ini's a little and a few other plugins but this is just insanity. I thought the best thing about this software was how easy and reliable it was. Well, not seeming so reliable to me anymore. 6 hours of frustration are enough for one saturday.

Could be you need to send a '/afollow off' command or '/nav stop' or even '/stick off', it's handy to have a hotkey with those to hit from time to time.

Once you get the hang of a few basic things and they become muscle memory, the world will be your oyster.

If you are getting characters crashing out repeatedly sometimes the best solution is to restart your PC to see if that fixes it.

I would have that problem if I load too many characters.

You need to check the capabilities of your computer. For example, I get crashes and weird things happening if I run more than 5 characters at same time.

My computer is fairly beefy, I9 9800k @ 5ghz, 64gb ram, fast SSD's.

So I think it is a combination of issues on my part:

1. due to my ui setup when Iswitch windows using the windows taskbar, a lot of times my cursor just happens to end up right near the /disband' button. This would explain the strange unexpected character logouts
2. for the autogroup issue, I am using the launcher to launch all my boxes all at once so i think the timing of how they login and whats happening during login is breaking that

So learning from those experiences I am having smooth gameplay once again. Didnt even know I was doing that!

What I usually do is:

First run the Red Guides Launcher, then I will log in the characters (all of them), then I will select Main assist and and pressing the hot keys for the
/mac kissassist on .

Doing it this way is less likely to have crashes or clitches

Since I use a mq profile to launch my characters, usually the group at once, I use hot keys to swap windows. Main tank on alt-1, cleric on alt-2, pull on alt-3, etc. Keeps from pressing buttons and mis-clicks.

I didnt know you could setup hot keys to switch windows. And now that Hotkeys: field in the launcher window makes more sense ROFL!

I use the windows key ( bottom left corner) of the keyboard to switch toons.

Its pretty fast depending on your computer specifications

I cant seem to get the hotkey functionality to work. it wont allow any kind of function key or alt or CTRL.
