Thanks Moralius and wackawacka! I also enjoy code, so this method was super easy for me, and there is still more I'll be able to do now that I've started to delve into the wiki haha down the rabbit hole I go!

have you tried using holyshit flags? These go in your server_charname.ini in the release folder. If all you want to do is fire off when available while attacking and are using mq2melee, This will work for you :) You can also add the others that you are wanting to fire off. I've had some issues as well using aa abilities on my lowbie bard. Let me know if this works for you and/or need help with more of it. I noticed that Kissassist also had an issue firing off the spire aa's. I just haven't gotten around to troubleshooting it or talking to devs. ( I am not a dev or part of the support team, If this isn't useful, just let me know and I'll shut up :)

That is not how a holyshit works... you need to have a condition and then that condition needs to happen. Then it fires whatever you tell it to do....

Yes you can add conditional statements, however. I find that using the simple methods work just fine for testing purposes or if you just don't give a care what is going on with that boxed toon. A little crude and constantly running even when they are on cooldown, YES. but they do indeed work. I suggest you give it a try. The conditional statements in the holyshits definitely a way to streamline the way it runs, however for a box you really just want to hammer away my primitive method works just fine.

Am I wrong here and I have a magical fairy in my computer pushing buttons for me? I'm not being a smart ass, I'm truly intrigued to find out why it works for me, and its not supposed to. The reason I say this is that this isn't the first issue I've come across where I'm the only one that has issues or success with something. </No SARCASM>

I forgot to add that I use this in conjunction with Kissassist. I have 2 bards 105 and 87.

I use the Buff portion for aura over-haste, then I use the DPS portion to fire requiem of time|once, and the epic 2.0 (for giggles). On the 105 I use Dicho Psalm|once as well.

This set up works like a champ every time no complaints.

I am interested to hear feedback on what is better, Kissassist DPS*= or using holyshits.

My experience is that for the spam abilities/spells holyshits works a ton better.

Oh also, please find the excerpt from my 105 bst INI that puts out 50k dps consistently solo.

I threw that together while drunk beyond recognition, it worked so I left it alone lol. It fires discs, casts spells, and all I really have to do is pull. I guess if I wanted to get really lazy I could throw in a holyshit11=/pet attack.

Moralius - I wasnt trying to be rude just trying to help. I don't think MQ2Melee was designed to be used is such a simple manner. It may work, but it also may not work reliably or fire during moments you really don't want to it to fire...

If i was going to go for super simple and just have it spam an ability for me I would at least add two things

I highly recommend at least glancing over the WIKI and reading about some of the features and how to control certain classes using the INI... It will make you a stronger MQ2er and your toon will most likely improve. :) I hope that helps!
 
Tried adding the holyflags, not sure if I set them up correctly in the end. Nothing seems to work :(

I may have left something out. You need to position it between the version [MQ2MELEE] and the version=####### My bad for not including that ( I fought with the very same thing )

Moralius - I wasnt trying to be rude just trying to help. I don't think MQ2Melee was designed to be used is such a simple manner. It may work, but it also may not work reliably or fire during moments you really don't want to it to fire...

If i was going to go for super simple and just have it spam an ability for me I would at least add two things

Basically because this insures that I am only doing these things while in combat and I only push the button when its ready and not non stop and get spam this ability isn't ready....

Also backstab is handled by the Basic configuration at the top and is a built into MQ2melee the holyshits and downshits are more for situations where you need to CHECK Something then do SOMETHING...

Most classes regular combat abilities are controlled with a simple on and off switch at the beginning of the INI

I didn't think you were being rude. Like I said there was no sarcasm involved. I've never had one issue with my previously shown configuration things don't fire off unexpectedly and most of the time, I regret my assist settings but they are safe. I have my assists set at 92-95% giving me time to either switch screens in a oh shit moment, or they don't engage at all. Puller or tank dies before that point I just rez up and go again :).

I know my methods are crude and noobish, but they work. Your methods are refined and polished, but not for the beginner either. Yes I read the wiki, and that is how I got as far as I did. Then it worked, not broke, no need to fix :). One day when I am not so busy breaking the interwebs I'm sure I will read on this post and refine my holyshits, but at this moment, It twerks, and I like the twerkage.

Now, as much as I agree with you on adding condtions, the ${Melee.Combat} would be redundant as holyshits only fire while you are in melee combat.
I like ${Macro.Name.Equal[KissAssist.mac]} as a condition on many of my shits (holy/down) as an "insurance" policy so they don't fire inadvertently.

Have you actually seen something fire inadvertently? Curiosity is killing me lol Thanks!
 
Actually yes, I do many things at various times and don't necessarily want my AA's/Glyphs/Items going off when i'm killing greens and grays, or PLing.
 
Updated my posted with modified KA_name.ini and server_name.ini, will continue to changes, but for now my bard spams the crap out of AAs and songs! Much success! Now if only he wasn't a bard, then I might be able to kill something.
 
Running into issues with the Third Spire spell, not exactly sure what is wrong just yet. Also having an error with my pull settings. I tried to make them more constricted, trying not to pull too much or named mobs in an area by accident (Yes I added all the mobs I don't want to run into problems with to ignore and such in my ka_info.ini), but now I just get an error and the mac uses the default settings anyway.

On my bard KA says its not found during startup for third spire. (I quadruple checked spelling)

Is there a way to log startup on KA? Or the possibility of more work for you guys in the future? :)

I know you dislike me but I had that same issue before, I also know you said the spelling was right, don't yell, this is a grammatical error.

Are you using the colon for the spire spell? A LOT of the premade INIs here don't use the colon for spires and thus lead me to believe it wasn't required for a few weeks until I had the same issue you're having.

When I looked it up on my bard I didn't see the "S" at the end.
The other dumb Question would be...Do you actually have ranks in it (I'm assuming yes, but I have done that once or twice)?
 
I ended up finding out a copy and paste error was why I was having issues with Third Spire, left the s off the end. Derp haha
