Problem - Necro pullerpettank keeps switching targets on initial pull and blowing mez…

I’m trying to figure out a way to resolve this. I’m guessing pulling with my necro is probably the problem here which will be resolved once I gear up my bard. But anyhow, this is what happens:

On a pull, necro sends pet out to target 1, sometimes this will pull two or three mobs. On the way back my necro will already start casting dots on target 1. Occasionally mob 2 or mob 3 (target 2 or 3) will reach my necro first which will cause my necro to switch targets. Then will start dotting the new target. Then what happens is the bard tried to mez target 2 and 3 but now one or both of them have a dot on them. So then it will try to mez target 1 which also has a dot on it.

All hell then breaks loose which requires me to hopefully /mqp and root one of the mobs while trying to keep the pets from all my characters in control… usually one of the mercs dies and maybe the bard but we eventually recover.

I can post the ini’s if needed.


UPDATE: Problem completely solved! Switched to bard pulling and no problem. Lesson- Pulling with necro's is dumb.

so ive had this problem with mage and enchanter
its a two part problem
so you necro will cast before bard mezzes
necro will cast on closest mob once bard mezzes

so if your necro dots up a mob that doesn't end up being closest when bard messes then shit hits the fan

so you can do two things - play necro on manual and switch to auto once bard mezzes

you can look at camp radius so necro has lower radius then bard -- more buggy but you can play around with it

short answer is necro cant dot until after bard mezzes
 
It's a FUBAR situation. Id also suggest messing with radius as well. Or, you can simply not have the Necro cast DoT's and stick with nukes and pet attacks. But really, get that bard up to par...

New to bard, what is the best way to pull using KA with bard? Melee, range, or is there a certain song/spell/AA?

NM, sonic disturbance! Its already in most ini's.

Ok cool. So I’m not alone. I’ll mess with settings a bunch and try to find a good solution. Might make sense to just have the bard start pulling.
 
Update, now the bard just runs past the closes mob to pull mobs further away. I've messed with the arch due to the narrow area i'm pulling through. But still in that narrow area he runs past 2 mobs to pull the third furthest I dont get it.

PullArcWidth00-360The width in degrees on the compass. See /setpullarc in the command section.

it takes a bit to get right and the picture tells the other stuff that can mess up pulling

Yeah you could be right on that I have to keep it pretty narrow to keep my guys from running around the wall to the other side. And the first mob might be outside of the arc.
