Hi Gents, I am having a tiny issue with a clicky.

- Grelleth's Royal Seal.
- will cast it anywhere from 5-15 times before he gets it
- set to downtime
- not set to any other click slot
- Tried removing it and re-adding it to no fix.
- Royal seal is acting the exact same way on my zerker plugin.

Cheers

You might have something blocking it. Or server sending some fake infos, saying your clickies is ready which is not the case due to some lag.

There is nothing blocking it, (sometimes the zerker has bloodpact up, but the plugin won't try to cast it when bloodpact is up).

does it not give you the buff that it says it does?

if it doesn't then you can't use it. as an addclicky

It does give me the buff. It is in the addclicky section

Something seems bugged, though. He casts clicky, and then immediately sits down (before the cast time is finished). Does this about 5-15 times, before he stops sitting to actually finish casting it. Zerker acts the same for the same clicky.

This is a general question. I use MQ2War for boxing group content, but I am a raider. I typically unload MQ2 for raids and play manually.

However, I see the value in having the plugin smash buttons. It frees up focus to pay attention to my surroundings better. However, I need the ability to toggle taunts on/off when I am not tanking, and the ability to go defensive at a moments notice when I am picking something up. I also need to be able to do all this without being set as a main tank.

What are your recommendations?

From the mq2war overview page:

if you are in a tanking mode or assigned as group maintank you will do tanking stuff like taunting.

if you are not in a tanking mode and also not assigned group main tank you will not do tanking stuff like taunting

I know the "Ignore Target" option works for pulling mobs, but will that also not attack mobs that are in camp, and on x target? Real life example is MPG trial of endurance. I'd like to have my tanks attack anything that comes at my raid, minus the two bosses and minus any defenders. My thought is I can just add those mobs to the "Ignore Target" list, and then let the plugin do the work. Will my idea work or will my warrior simply attack the boss first chance he gets because the boss is in camp and on xtar list?

they ignore for pulling only.. if its on xtar/agro, they will do the business :-/

no, the "pull ignore" does not ignore mobs that are attacking you while in a tank mode that are inside your camp, they ignore pulling mobs. if you want to not attack mobs, be in manual mode, you will have to select target and then turn on atatck

Is there a way to not use Courageous Defense? It gets clicked and then stays up the whole time regardless of the timer, it never fades.

if you're tanking, we will always try and run a disc, which is the "Defense" ability, in this case courageous - if you have courageous up and you meet your burn conditions, it will stop the disc to activate culmstand.

but no, there is no way to just not keep a disc up if you're tanking

also - you're using the old mq2 legacy, you should 1000% update to macroquest "next" as you won't have new abilities > Stickied Thread Here <

Having an issue with MQ2Warrior not using new TOL abilities. I installed MQ2Next and used the migration tool (Flawless BTW) my shaman, and cleric are using all-new abilities, the warrior is not checking to see if he has the new abilities and does not appear to be using them... What am I missing?

ok first. please post mq2war questions in the mq2war thread. and second yes you have to use mq next to use new abilities as the sticky thread says > here < so if you still have old mq2 loaded, unload it and load next. it is pretty unlikely you have both loaded.

I would suggest just rebooting and starting fresh with just next.

MQ2War does, in fact, use the new abilities that we have told it to use.

If you look at the plugin output upon load you should see several 116-120 abilities listed.

Amazing plugin so far! One question though, when I have my mode set to pull my warrior just runs up to the mob and hits him. Is there a way to pull using Kragek's Roar AA?

howdy eatjerseymikes,

from the > MQ2War FAQ <

Q. I want to use xyz aa/combat for pulling!
A. There aren't very consistent good options for pulling for warriors outside of either a clicky like you would add with addclicky pullitem, or with a ranged item like bow/arrow.

I'd suggest just using a bow/arrows

Hi Guys,

My MQ2war cant pull anymore?

I set him as tank and MA and set a camp pull radius 5000 and it just sits there saying, waiting for valid target?

howdy nuyrnoyyrt,

sorry to hear you're having troubles.

mq2war sure can still pull. we didnt' sneak into your house in the middle of last night and make it not be able to do so. :)

did you check the >>> FAQ <<< and run the debug command which will tell you why? you probably need a zradius adjustment. the debug info will tell you

Q. Why am I Not Pulling XYZ mob?
A. Not pulling a mob is almost always an issue either with your Navmesh or your pull settings. If you do a /war debugpull on once and it will cycle 1 time and spit out in your mq2 window all the mobs and why you are not pulling them. Compare the output with the mobs you think you should be pulling and it will tell you why. This will notify you if you have no nav path, or out of zradius, or regular radius, or on ignore, etc.

restarted MQnext and now it works again....

On a side note here, the icon in the taskbar used to have a "reload" function this doesn't seem to have it?

doesn't reload them though? if you "unload all" it won't load them in game again, but yes, that was what I meant.
it does, I use it frequently.

back to the pulling tho "restarting mq fixed it" --- this is probably more like coming back in and you resetting your camp wherever you were now at fixed it.

Maybe, used the /war resetcamp changed modes, unloaded and reloaded mq2war, but hey it works.. :)

If I do a /unload and then press that injection thing, it doesn't reload, must it be run in admin mode in win11?

you only need admin mode if you already run eq elevated, like in the case of something like isboxer

Hey Sic, I was wondering if it is possible to include clickies for mq2war? Items like the chest slot starting in CoV/ToV have a damage absorber. Also there is the weapon coating that steals life. Would it be possible to add a spot where the player "identifies" clickies to be used and when? like keeping the weapon coating up at all times, using the chest clicky during named etc.

You can already, using /war addclicky

Hi Guys,

It could also be a terrain issue. Check to make sure that your Pull Zhigh and your Pull Zlow are set properly. I just set mine to 250 and leave it. it is at 25 by default and this will cause the plugin to not pull mobs that are above or below you.

I will check that right now. Thank you.

Update: took me a few minutes to figure it out, but I did get it to work. Thank you for the information, I really appreciate it.

Is there a way to for the plugin to stop using bazu below? It drain endurance when tanking
for "modern game" (over 85 when we start getting better end regen abilities) we use timer 8 and 9 when we can

for earlier game / tlp non-"modern game" we only use it when you are not the target of your target (as in you don't have aggro)

so other than that, no

It looks like the rule doesnt work. my tank is using the skill even though he is the target of target. Same goes with taunt. He keeps using taunt even though he is the target of target. And yes, I am playing on the TLP server.

we're going to continue using taunt.

the timer8/9 stuff happens if you are not the target of your target.

are you using macroquest or are you on mq2 legacy? if legacy you will want to be on macroquest.

well

if the target of your target is not you, while you are tanking you will use roar and provoke lines with at least a 2 second delay until you are the target of target.

there are no other uses of these two timers, unless you are at or above 86.

this change was made specifically for lower wars under lvl 86, as i mentioned. based on the code, my testing, and confirmation from the folks i asked to confirm it works, it does what it is supposed to do

> here for example <

this change was done back in november because timer 8 and 9 were causing folks huge headaches.
